Problems? You are not falling asleep. First try to relax as if you are trying to actually fall asleep. Your end goal is to fall asleep. Do not do much of anything with your mind. Thinking and fantasizing could prevent sleeping. You must trick your body into thinking the mind is asleep. Look up "anchor' and try to understand it more. You want something that keeps you aware, but barely. Repeating a short phrase over and over with out putting much focus on it is an example. Keeps your mind barely awake, and lets you relax into sleep.
The back position is supposed to keep you from true deep sleep. You can WILD from there, but with a side turn method you let yourself get so close to sleep on your back, that you will sleep instantly if you are finally allowed to turn on your side. Get there and then turn. Pay attention and keep using your anchor. If you are not asleep within 3 or 4 minutes, then it did not work correctly.
The big message here. YOU ARE TRYING TO FALL ASLEEP, do not forget that.
