      Accidentally WILD?

So what happened was last night I tried to get into a lucid dream through the MILD method, I would repeat the same mantra over and over again in bed. My mantra was, "I will know that I'm dreaming". I would focus so hard on this mantra that I wasn't even able to sleep. After about 10-20 minutes i was starting to get really weird vibes. Everything was kinda getting buzzy, I don't really know how to explain it. I had researched up on the WILD technique before so i thought that this was it, I was getting into a WILD. Afterwards i realized that I couldn't really move my fingers, they weren't very responsive. This frightened me so I tried to move my fingers and tried to bring my head up as hard as I could and it seemed to have stopped the WILD. I didn't continue the WILD because I just wasn't prepared for it yet, the hallucinations (which frighten me the most), the inability to move, I just wanted to MILD and take small steps to lucidity. I don't know exactly if this was close to a WILD so I'm going to ask the forums if it was.

It was a WILD. But, WILDs don't depent on hillucinations or sleeo paralysis. Indeed, don't even mean that you are close. If you want a successful WILD, you should not even focus on the HI or move. See the wild class at the DVA if you like
      Also, welcome to DV!

      Yes, totally a WILD.

Btw, you might want to change your mantra to present tense.

      "I know I am dreaming."

      Works better.

If it was "kinda" hard to move, but you could, it was not SP. What you have experienced were simple sensations that we feel when falling asleep. http://www.dreamviews.com/wake-initi...mystified.html

HH may or may not happen, and they may or may not be scary. It really depends on what you call scary, and if you can get over it and just enjoy your entry into LD.

SP is something nice if you want it to be(ish), but it rarely happens(I mean, rarely are you aware of it)
