WILD - In it for the Experience?

      Hey guys..
So, I am pretty new around here and all, and I have tried WILD Once before but I only reached a stage were I was hearing things and seeig lights, no sleep paralysis. But, I was thinking is WILD worth doing just for this pre dream build up? I personally thought it was amazing, like I was drifting through space.. But - I don't have very good dream recall, so more likely then not i would only remember the dream entry part..

      Thoughts?

Sleep paralysis shouldn't be a goal when you are trying to WILD is my understanding.

Sleep paralysis, Hynogogia, etc. can be sign posts of heading in the right direction. Timing is a big part in doing a successful WILD, you want to make sure you are heading for a REM period of sleep before you attempt it (i.e. not right when you go to bed at night, but during WBTB or afternoon naps) have you read any of the WILD tutorials yet here on Dreamviews? I would also suggest doing some research on sleep cycles and when you experience REM.

Sageous has a WILD class on the Dreamviews Academy, and he answers questions in the "share your experiences, good or bad" thread.

There is also a WILD tutorial written by billybob that is older, but it also helped me understand some things.

Anytime man, really. I'm pretty new myself, I've had a few LDs but I'm no expert. I have spent the past few weeks researching LDing for 5-8 hours a day so I'm more than willing to share what I've learned. PM me any time.

WILD is a wonderful technique. But it's not an easy one to pull off if you not familiar with the process. To avoid frustration, reading tutorials is recommended. WILD (sageous) is my personal favorite.

I'm very glad that you liked the 'pre dream build up' sensations. That's the part many are scared off. But also many (me included) find them fascinating and I find them as good as the lucid itself for the 'weirdness factor' and 'fun factor'.

      Happy dreams
