      mental alarm clock?

Is anyone able to wake up around a specific time without an alarm clock?
I.e. with the use of mantras?
I used to be able to do this but it hasn't worked lately. maybe because im so exhausted.

If you can do this , what is your routine ?

      thank yaw (shoenice22) hahah

If you wake your self up constantly at the same time, your body will get into a habbit and you'll wake up around that time, it happened when I was using my alarm at five in the morning, I started waking up like five minutes earlier. I still don't rely on it for important things. Mantras might be a neat idea to do it.
I'm pretty sure we're all sane here.

Yes there are two ways that work for me to accomplish this goal.

      1. Mantras as you say, did you know that with just your intent you can wake up at anytime you like. It doesn't work every time but one time I was able to say that I wanted to wake up at exactly 04:00 and I did! The next night I said I wanted to wake up 04:03 but instead I woke up in the morning frustrated because of no attempt, so I stoped using that. It would be cool though if you could say
"I want to wake up in REM" and BAM free DEILD attempt, however I don't have the patience to try that

      2. By drinking two big glasses of water before I go to bed I somehow get more aware of my micro awakenings which are close to or after REM. Although it might be on REM as well because I use these awakenings to DEILD so I might be wrong, it might not be micro awakenings at all, it might be random! Which is great because then I can at least hit REM.
And well my specific time is 01:15 because that's when my second REM period end. It's a good way to keep track of your REM periods though.

I hope this was what you were looking for
