      What is a WILD like?

So, I have had a couple DILDs; where I wake up in the dream. They aren't...exactly very vivid. Kinda..in and out of lucidity all the way through the dream. I am lucid though, because I am making decisions throughout the whole thing. Anyway, to the question. What is a WILD like? How vivid is it? Is it practically like real life...just in a dream?

      Thanks,
      Namone

Yeah, I would like to know about this too. My DILDs are exactly the same way! It's frustrating. Sometimes I'm not even able to control the dream; I just go on with the plot or just stay in the same place.

I've only had two WILD's and the first one I ever had was more vivid than reality itself. The feeling of the sun and wind were really amazing, its too real to be real

Yeah, I know what you mean. All my Lucids have been DILD's, and the same way. I'm going to try to WILD tonight, looking forward to the experience.

Nice. Too real to be real, that sounds pretty enjoyable. I'm just pretty curious on exactly how clear it will look. (Rough, 1998 Game Style, Reality) Well, I'll see.

Hmmm I think clarity will differ from person to person, but for me it was EXACTLY like reality but sharper. Honestly, you should really try to experience it to be your own judge.

I haven't had many WILDs, but I can say something about it.
The transition is very exciting. You lie in your bed and you get SP a HH usually. When it ends, you lie in your bed again, but you are in a completely different world. It is really amazing.

Interesting. I hope to have one soon. Sadly, although I do everything, my WILDs are never a success. I am gonna try the FILD technique, see if I can achieve one that way tonight.

I just can't seem to focus on one thing...

Namone, if you're having trouble focusing, I suggest jeff's wild technique. http://www.dreamviews.com/f79/jeff77...hnique-116172/

That's really cool. Makes me want to attempt WILDing tonight, and I'll do just that.

The transition actually is exciting lol, it's funny how you normally awake in your bed majority of the time.

For me a WILD is so substantially different and superior do DILD's that I don't really believe they are the same experience. I think that what most people consider to be lucid dreams are very interesting and different from ordinary dreams, but also not what they should be aiming for. It's possible that I've just never had a real good DILD, but what I know is every WILD I've had, even some rather poor ones, were far beyond the best DILD I've had. They just don't compare. Which is why I no longer put any focus on DILD. I still have them from time to time but I don't put any effort into encouraging them.

I guess when I hear OBEers scoff at the idea that their experiences are actually dreams I understand where they're coming from and why that conclusion seems to be unacceptable. But I do know it's just a dream and am OK with that fact since the experience is very easily explained by dreaming and I've experienced just how powerful dreams are.

There is a couple of ways how to increase vividnes of a DILD
      1. Shout 'Clarity now', 'Increase clarity', 'More vivid' "Focus now' or anything that has meaning for you. Once I increased focus by saying 'look, how is everything so detailed. I thought it already was detailed, but after I said it, I was amazed how the dreamscape changed. Like having 'eagle eyes'. You may need to shout it more than once. Put some confidence into it. Don't ask it, tell it.

      2. Look at your hands for 10-20 seconds. Notice details. When you look up, everything should be more vivid. Or look at anything in detail - nearby wall, feel the texture, kneel down to study a blade of grass, anything.
