I don't think I've ever experienced those kind of feelings in the day, but I find it quite hard to stay calm the few times this has happened to me. The sensations really get my heart pumping. |

I 'attempted' a WILD after a short WBTB break as I had nothing to lose, as I usually drop off to sleep to carry out (if I'm lucky) a DILD early morning anyhow. I use the acronymn 'DILD', but generally I just become 'aware' it's a dream usually. |

Hmm, I have done a lot of meditation and many of the feelings you mentioned (tingling, numb, warm) are those I experience once I go into a light trance. If the trance becomes too deep, I lose consciousness. So, I think those are signs of relaxation - deep relaxation in some cases. Some people also believe that the tingling and 'orgasmic-like' sensation is your own energy building up and preparing for OOBE or perhaps lucidness. (?) Most of my experience has been in meditation and my LDs have been DILD where I become hyper conscious but I have not and do not control my dreams. So, take it with a grain of salt. I'd keep trying and hopefully someone with actual WILD or MILD experience, unlike me, will pop in here and add their two cents! |

Thanks for the replies, you guys. |

Oh, Robstar, I like your quote about Thermodynamics, by the way. |

I think I've had a few goes at meditating when I was younger, I've definitely felt the "rush" that you get from a deep state of relaxation. |
