Do you have a Task of the Month suggestion that you would love to get chosen?
Now you have the chance to suggest new tasks of the month by clicking the
Future Task of the Month Suggestion Thread.
If you complete a current TOTM, you will be able to vote on suggestions for the next month!
Introduction:
This topic is for the Lucid Tasks that are assigned by the Lucid Task Club and the On-Topic Administrator. Please attempt any or all of these tasks throughout the month.
Report back in this thread, even if you didn't successfully accomplish the task. Your efforts should make interesting reading! This is required in order to get credit, it is no longer sufficient just to say that you did it.
How to get your wings:
When you complete a task: Go to your control panel, then to permission groups, and request to be in the group that applies to the task that you've done: one basic or both, one advanced or both, bonus or how many tasks of the year. Please note, that we now have wings for every task. Requesting to join the group will upon approval also grant you access to Lucid Task Club.
Of course, you still need to post the pertinent part of the dream here and link to your DJ entry.
Format of your post:
[Basic, Advanced...] -[Name of the Task] - [success or fail] - [pertinent part of a dream] - [link to dj]
For example:
Basic - Drive a car - success
When you post about another successful attempt, please tell me if it was your first or second task from basic or advanced tasks, or first, the second... seventh task from the task of the year. I need to know this so I know which wings to give you. If you only say "completed TOTY - flying car", this doesn't tell me which wings with how many stars should I give you.
Please, make sure you post here your attempts both failures and successes, this will make this post much more dynamic.
Whoever completes any of these tasks gets the following goodies until the end of the month:
Your name will be displayed in ORANGE in the online member's list at the bottom of the main forum page. *NEW* You'll also be displayed in orangepurple (by popular vote) in our Discord.
You will receive a special title and badge.
You will receive access to the "Lucid Task Club" which is a limited-access forum for people that complete a lucid task each month. Members of this club can vote for submitted suggestions for the next month's tasks. Access to the Lucid Task Club will also grant you early access to the next month's tasks, giving you a 2-3 day window to keep your wings for the following month.

Administrative Coordinator Task Of The Month and Task Of The Year.
Oh yeah! Two tasks today! Incidentally, I thought I did a third TOTM, as well as a TOTY, but they were false or a flop, respectively.
Spoiler for Basic Task ii - See how big of an object you can lift - Success:
It was then I thought of tasks. First in mind was lifting a heavy object. Conveniently, several meteors were passing by, craggy rocks well over three times my size. I reached out for them, but they'd eluded me. So, I follow one of the rocks as it fell into a planet. Once past orbit, I dived into its trajectory, and, just as we were about to hit land, I caught it. Still, its force of was great enough to drag me along with it, leaving behind a deep imprint on the dirt. After it stopped moving, I heaved it on my back. It was awkward to grip, but aside from that, there wasn't any difficulty.
Spoiler for Advance Task i - Do a spin dash like Sonic:
With that done, I chucked it aside, then zipped around to find something else to do. Soon, I find myself in an empty urban streets surrounded by desert, still at night, of course. I made a super front flip up the roof of a long building. This reminds me of the related spindash task. And so, I start rolling in place. Initially, the visuals and sensations weren't very convincing, but that soon changed into a bewildering display that almost knocked me out of my senses. Somehow, I adjusted just as quickly. I spun faster and faster, before I launched myself off the building. Task complete.
Spoiler for false task:
I fall down onto a lone pathway in the middle of nowhere. As I travel down, I try remembering another task. A false one came to mind: create your own dance move. Even at the time, I figured it probably wasn't genuine, but oh well, it gave me something to do. Feeling silly, I jumped up, and made my legs lose consistency. My limbs dangled with the wind like wet noodles. The sight made me chuckl to myself, but upon landing, my joints stiffen back to normal. Aww.
Finally, I attempt to spin-dash like Sonic on the grassy field. I try 3-4 times, but fail to actually roll quickly. It's more like a slow-motion clumsy somersault. I give up and go into a house with the 2 DCs.
Sorry about this month. I wasn't particularly motivated with this selection to be honest. That's okay. Also, work got super stressful this week. Hoping for more success next month!!

Yeah, I agree that we could have done a little more with the selection. Hopefully, there will be more in the way of suggestions. You don't have to apologize for that.
You seem to be someone who gives to others more than yourself But, please do not forget to take care of yourself too. My sister was a speech pathologist and I know that kind of job is not easy.
Spoiler for Bonus Task - Drink Alien Tea - Failed:
...At this interval, thinking of a TOTM gave me a more definite destination: an alien planet. Once this thought occurred, the portal suddenly ended. I was thrust into a dark, foggy cavern of blood-red stone. Eerie violet lights sparked intensely in the distance. Certainly, this wasn't our world any longer.
Without wasting time, I search for a plant. I soon found a patch of long blades of grass, faded green plants tinted blue at the points and edges. I then begin working at super-speed. First, I smash the leaves between rocks until they become a fine, vibrant purple powder. Then, by will alone, I conjured a campfire, along with a boiling brazier of water. Finally I throw the powder into the pot. The mixture reacted violently, exploding into purple smoke. Only a portion of liquid remained.
I instantly grab the pot, and almost take an swig. But, fear of getting scalded, let alone of drinking an alien substance, held me back. I drew a deep breath, and tried again. Unfortunately, the dream deteriorated immediately. I wake up with a gasp.
Spoiler for Basic Task I - Ask subconscious to show courage - Success:
...I tried an easier task: this month's first basic task. Calling out to the dream, I asked to be shown courage. All of a sudden, a comet zoomed overhead from behind, low in Earth's atmosphere. A blazing white trail followed, one bright enough to momentarily bathe the sky in orange light. Within seconds, the comet was out of view. For a time, I pondered what this could mean, but a clear answer never arrived. Oh well, I thought. I'll probably understand it better when I was awake. Task complete as far as I was concerned.
To be honest, I'm still scratching my head interpreting how a comet relates to courage...
Spoiler for Advanced Task ii - Consume Mutagen - Success:
The visuals started quite hazy. FA in bed. I wrestled with muddled thoughts momentarily before I regained my senses.
Just then, I noticed a figure looming nearby. On closer inspection, it was Android 18 from Dragon Ball Z, her cartoony appearance contrasting the rest of the environment. She just stood there, glaring at me. A moment later, she tosses a bright object at the foot of my bed. Just as quickly she arrived, she vanished.
I fetch, then inspect, the item in question. It seemed to be a palm-sized decanter, only, it had a large syringe needle on its head. Gleaming inside the container was a glowing amber-orange liquid. This substance looked a lot like aqua regia, though at the time, I didn't identify it as such. Instead, I figured that it was mutagen, as per the TOTM.
In my excitement, I rush out to the lounge. This haste almost made the dream fade. I took a moment to calm down, bringing with it much better visuals. The lounge was missing most of its furniture, but no matter.
With that settled, I wasted no time injecting the mysterious substance. Just as soon as I did, my skin became deep blue. Whoa... I observed this change in awe, moving my fingers, then limbs. But, nothing else seemed to change. But, as I was about to take my attention away, my skin was restored. With it, an intense trembling coursed through my veins, violent, yet soothing. That's when electricity visibly surged out of my entire body, shooting out at least a meter around me. The sensation was exhilarating, a rush like no other. This intoxicating power almost made me lose my wits. I took a moment to settle down once again, if with a big, proud grin. A tempered mood, the electricity subsided. Oh well. Task done!
Spoiler for Bonus Task - Drink Alien Tea - Fail:
...I soon find myself in some kind of future tech industrial facility, a structure painted grey and green. Strange gyroscopic gears whirred beneath circuitry exposed at sections of the walls and floor. Exits could be seen at all angles, even up and down. Whenever I made it through a pathway, the entire structure would suddenly shift and rotate around at dizzying speeds, leaving no hint as to where one had just arrived. This wasn't of terrestrial origins.
It didn't take long to lose myself in this maze. So too did I begin losing my hold of the dream. Acting quick, I clung on to a nearby pillar, gripping tightly, until I was sure I'd at least a bit more time.
The structure then changed such that I was suspended several stories above floor level. I slid down the pillar into a small office space within an alcove. Seems that the color blue has replaced the green previously lining the walls.
In any case, I hurry to find an alien plant. I rummage through some cabinets, under the desk, and beneath some floor panels, but find no such thing.
I then make my way towards a small courtyard in the distance. Unique to the structure, sunlight was peering into it, though I couldn't tell from what angle. I make it that far, when the dream suddenly collapses.
