Thread: Cannabis use + dream recall--- tips from a daily smoker

I know there have been many posts on this in the past. I do not want to revive an old dead post, but I do want to add...
I have seen that many say that cannabis negatively effects dream recall. I think that this varies.
Personally I am a moderate daily smoker, and I have pretty good dream recall.

As long as you dont blaze up 3 hours before bed, you should be fine, IME
Also, if you are an infrequent user, I would say smoking cannabis would seriously impair your dream recall, but if you are your body are very used to it, i doubt it will effect anything.

Well.. Yeah, if you smoke too close to bed you wont be able to remember much. I sleep like a stone when I've smoked cannabis - it's like I blackout and wake up 10 hours later like nothing happened. Dunno if it's damages your dream recall if you smoke it in the day.

AskerB, I WISH pot would do that to me.
Daily smoker = high tolerance. Ive not had any green knock me out like that since I was in my teens.

Thank you for moving this! Still a noob here and learning my way around.

It's kind of a catch22 . . . I like to smoke pot because it often allows me to sleep better but the downside is that I don't remember my dreams as well. Although I suffer no other ill affects . . . I'm really into dreams and will curb consumption accordingly

I have a fictional friend who still uses cannabis for medicinal purposes.
He takes enough weed for three or four smokes, and makes food from it.
After eating a bun a day for five years, he claims to have mastered its effects. That is with regard to memory loss, and concentration.
The constant determined focus to rid himself of the overwhelming 'high' has been a sort of training process.
I am told, he can talk to higher self at any time while under the effects of MJ
I often pose questions to him that puzzle me, but the answers are never straightforward.
