Thread: My understanding of dream characters, am i right?

i posted a experienced i had about getting woken up in a false awakening, but that there was a dream version of my girlfriend in it aswell, but i left this bit out of the post because, it was pretty irrelevant, here i shall post my realization i had about the dream version of my girlfriend.
i was sitting at my dinner table, thinking about the thing under my bed...
and wat was strange about my girlfriend she was starting conversation with me, she actually really wanted to talk to me! my real girlfriend wouldnt talk to me like this, but very rarely; usaully she would only come near me if she wanted sex....lol a pretty sad relationship to be honest. but anyway back to the dream.
i was sitting there, and all of a suddenly my attention is fully on her, questioning her in my mind, who is this pretending to be my girlfriend......
and i asked, so who are you?
she says dont be silly, you know who i am..
i started to get a little rude here, saying stuff like dont lie to me, lol you honestly do not know who i am, dont play games with me. i know im dreaming right this second and i know im asleep, i probaley said something else but it eludes me.
and it was at this point, a veil of some type was lifted; once i saw through the fakeness of my girlfriend, but she still remained.... so it hit me right there and then, that there's things out there, that use dream characters to interact with us, this may not be fact, it was only how it came across to me, the feelings.
it was pointless trying to get any information from her about, anything where she comes from, i couldnt get anything... but she was really interested in my real life relationship. like she was learning
so yah thats my realization that some force/forces can use dream characters like interfaces of some type, well thanks for reading

I had a dream about my ex girl friend where she told me exactly how she felt and i told her how I felt. A week later she told me the exact same thing in real life.

Damn, thats kinda creepy !I also believe that there are other 'things' out there... but I wonder what their intention is...

But are you sure that it wasn't a projection from your own subconscious of what you would like your girlfriend to be like? How did she compare to your other DC's? When confronted at being a dream do they try to argue that they are not or do they simply just admit it and/or dissipate?

i made similar experiences and just read about some beings called "Traemos" by the author, which meant something like "Transcendental beings manifesting through our emotions". the book is written in german, called "Der schamanische Weg des Träumens" which means translated "The shamans way of dreaming".
actually the game "Dragon Age" also gives a pretty good insight about those traemos, when you got to rescue the mages tower, and all the way through the game when you shift into the "Fade" which is the dream plane there.

not this this one, she was the stubborn, only because i got very rude, and cocky and just wouldnt give her any ground, i was very rude... i was like just shut the fuck up and stop trying to convince me im not dreaming! i know better and you got no idea who i am! it was at this point something lifted
yes im 100% sure she wasnt from my sb mind, because afterwards she started asking questions about my real girlfriend o_0 she kinda had a counselor type persona

Thats seems pretty conclusive to me

This sounds sort of similar to a dream I have had before. My girlfriend at the time wasn't really up to my expectations and in my head I always thought about the perfect relationship I wanted. Later that night I had, had a dream about this 'perfect relationship' and it was expressed through my current girlfriend (in the dream).
So maybe that could explain it.

I'm not a huge fan of the idea that other forces or entities only masquerade as dream characters. It completely ruins my dream goals of talking to my subconscious!

But I did have a dream not too long ago that made me feel that way as soon as I woke up. I felt like the DC was just trying to pry information out of me. If the DC is a manifestation of my subconscious, why would it need to do that? Anyways, it was just a really weird dream.

i wouldnt say masquerade only. their appearance looks according to the conciousness of the viewer.
but that actually got me to another question: are there actually dreamcharacters in a way ppl here describe it, characters made up by your "subconcious", or are all the characters you meet out there in the dream plane either other ppl dreaming or entities, who can only manifest through our intention and emotions?
