Ok so we all know the devil is often portrayed as a goat-man, why is this? I mean I know snakes are seen as devilish because of the snake in the garden of Eden but why goats? It's like the parable of the sheep and the goats, the sheep are good I assume because they follow without question but why pick goats as bad? I mean eating goat and drinking goat milk isn't forbidden is it? Eating pork and shellfish is, don't think snake is..., but back on track, WHAT UP WITH GOAT HATING! |

Ever heard of the Baphomet? I'm pretty sure that this is where the association comes from. Oh and by the way, the Baphomet is a symbol of The Lefthand Path---the path of the individual. |

The Church invented Baphomet to discredit the Knights Templar. An artist made the goat painting. |

Everything works out in the end, sometimes even badly.
I thought it had to do with the association of the god Pan, a trickster, and the satyrs, horny drunks, both by Christian standards immoral??? |
