You know what I think?
I think that everyone is entitled to his or her own opinion and beliefs just as the next person is. I have friend who is Atheist, and I don't push Christianity on her one bit. What she thinks doesn't matter. Just as long as I keep being friends with her.
I have gay friends, lesbian friends, friends of all races and of all religions. It angers me to no end when I see a friend of mine or someone I don't even know, for that matter, getting shunned upon just because they are different; were raised differently. I don't think my friendship with friends will ever change just because they don't believe what I do, or I don't like what they like. Just like all of you on the topic; I don't care if you don't believe in God. All I care about is if you're a nice person.
Getting a little off-topic, I think, there is the question of Creation vs. Evolution. I have friends who believe in one or the other. But my mom, dad, and I believe in another thing; God CREATED Evolution. That, in my mind, is the only way ANYTHING makes sense when it comes to that matter. There is also the matter of is there a Heaven. I believe there is, but I ALSO believe that there is no...*gulp* Hell. THERE!!! I said it!!! (I don't like that word because in my experience it has been use as a curse word.)
I've always been taught that God loves everyone, because they are all his children. If that's true, then why would he send 'bad' people...down there instead of just saying, "I forgive you of your sin. You made bad dicisions, but you didn't know what you were doing." When you really think about it, some of the most feared people of all time were just confused, or mentaly insane. But society has classified them as 'Evil' because that's the sterotypic behavior that they've become familiar with.
And another thing; I believe that EVERYONE is going to Heven, whether you think it's real or not. The God I believe in would want all people to go there to rest in peace, even if they don't believe in him, because that's what us Christians call his 'Unconventional Love' or his 'Undying Love' for us.
...And I think that's all I have to say.
