      Lightbulb Tips for Recurring Dreams

Sorry if this has been posted somewhere already, I'm still new here. Admins and Mods can do whatever they want to it.

I'll start with my two recurring nightmares (is there a difference between recurring and reocurring??)

      My first recurring dream:
When I was about 5, I had this dream almost every night, I would lay in bed (and i think i was aware that i was dreaming) i looked over at my brother's bed right beside mine, and a really weird monster would pop up between our beds and scream. Then I would run to my parents room and wake up as I was running.

This next part is kinda off-topic so I'll just hide it:
      Spoiler for Off-Topic:

      My second recurring dream:
It started in a kitchen that was completely white and clean. I was sitting on a counter with my brother and I had a golf ball. When I dropped the golf ball on the floor, Mickey Mouse came in the room and we laughed, but no one ever talked. (he looked like the people from disney in the suits)
Then the golf ball was back in my hand and every time i dropped it, another disney character came it.

And now for the whole point of the topic:

One night, I decided to get rid of the nightmare, so I didn't look at my brother's bed and never had the nightmare again!
But the fun Disney Show in the Kitchen dream went with it too

So if you want to get rid of a reoccurring dream, just do whatever is possible to not set off the trigger (be creative if it doesn't seem possible to stop it)

      I hope I helped someone!

I think this would only be possible if you were lucid. And lucid dreams, I've read, are 90% better dreams all-in-all, and nightmares are rare.

I think every time I had this dream, I was lucid. But I was young so I never thought about it.
