      Smile My first (very brief) LD!

      Last night, among other things, I dreamt I was trying to run through my housing estate, but found that I couldn't. My legs went in slowmotion and it felt like I was trying to run through tar or cement. Then I was thinking, this is just like dream running! Then I realised it was a dream and instantly woke up.

      I didn't have a chance to try dream spinning or anything like that, it was all over too quick! Hopefully the next LD I have will last a little longer...

      Great job and congrats on achieving lucidity! The instant rush/feeling of realizing your dreaming can often cause you to wake (especially if you are inexperienced). Just keep practicing and try to keep as calm as possible upon becoming lucid. Good luck in your future efforts!

      Congrats!

      Even though i have only had 1 LD and it was a very short one and i didn't FULLY realize it was a dream but i knew i was dreaming, I keep thinking when im going to have my first real LD im going to keep calm but i know it will never happen
