It actually worked! 1st proper lucid...and issues

      Hey all.

I have had lucid dreams naturally before - but they always woke me up and I never gained any control as I didn't know I could. After joining this forum I started a DJ, and practised reality checks frequently. I wasn't sure how it would work, but...

      Last night was amazing!

In my dream I was talking to a friends child who asked what a RC was. I demonstrated by plugging my nose and was SHOCKED to find I could breathe! It set my heart racing, and my body suddenly went crazy tingling!

I looked at my hands (loads of fingers, just like you guys said!!!) and the body sensation - this tingling, burning sensation was really intense. I was suddenly so aware of my limbs that I struggled to stay in the dream, but studied my hands hard and it worked. However everything I could see was very grainy, fuzzy and hard to make out.

I lifted one arm, which seemed to take ages, it was the weirdest, strangest feeling ever, so heavy and a bit like pins and needles. I wanted to get 'up' out of my bed in the dream, but my body kind of half floated, half dragged it self into the air near the ceiling, and then gently landed on the floor. My partner who was with me in bed in real life as well as the dream, put me off a bit by shouting 'What are you doing? Get off the floor!?' Very loud and angrily. I then woke up.

When waking I was totally paralised, and knew I could get back if I wanted (this is how I have lucid dreams before) but I was so excited and wanted to record the event that I chose to move, wake up fully and write it all down!

Happy is an understatement, this was AMAZING!!!!

Why was it hard to move though, and my vision was terrible. Next time, what should I do to get a better view of my dream world, shout 'Clarity now' or something? How about being able to walk?

I appreciate the help, I'm just so stoked this really worked!!!!

      Extra info:
      Bed at 1.15am
Woke up after LD to record in DJ at 3.23am
Had 50mg of Tramadol (pain killer) earlier in the night (8pm?) for a bad knee. This effects my sleep (makes me sleepy / fall to sleep faster)

EDIT! What I did forget to mention, was the whooshing, air noise in my ears. Really loud, like a blood rushing type noise. Is this normal? It was really noticable!!!
