Lol! Well it certainly sounds like you've fallen head over heels for the place! |

I'm just really lucky when it comes to LDing, I've never had to work at it. I've been LDing since before I knew I was LDing, hence why I had such nightmares as a child because it scared me since I thought it was real. I've literally had dreams that helped me get over ex-boyfriends, helped me work on things I'd like to change about myself, and even dreams that could be comparable to an acid trip. Our minds are playgrounds. |

You don't remember how you first learned to LD? |
|
Yes actually, that's exactly how it happened. I would have horrible, sometimes reoccuring nightmares to the point where I'd be so afriad to go to sleep. I'd always end up wanting to sleep in my parents bed, which they hated after a while, showing up at their door at 3 am. I even had painful dreams at times (yes, you can feel pain in dreams). So sometime around elementary school, I started finding ways to wake myself up from nightmares, for instance materializing a cliff to jump off of. Eventually instead of waking myself up, I was able to change the course of my dreams to wonderful experiences, hence I gained dream control. I'm not sure at which point I became lucid, since as a child I only saw this as a way of dealing with my nightmares. Eventually the bad dreams went away and I'd be excited to dream since I would be able to muster the most profound and vivid lucid dreams. As I get older, they get better and better. I'm at the point now where I can LD four times a night with little effort, which actually happened last night. |

Wow, i can really relate to this kind of meaningful experience and i love your point about taking notice of the details in a lucid dream! People sometimes set themselves the most elaboate goals, but the most amazingly simple one is to view the dream itself! to take notice of the fact that you are fully aware in another state of being. I have had lucids where i was picking up small stones just to make out the startling detail on them! |

The amount of detail you can get in a lucid dream can be so overwhelming, I once stabilised while in my backyard by focusing on my vision. Holy crap! I recommend to any of you, if you see something that is pretty in a lucid dream, put your awareness and intent on focusing your eyes on everything around you and deepening the detail. The limits of your physical eyes are gone, you can see a wider field of view, with incredible focus, in deeper colours and vividness than you ever could in waking life |

Spoiler for Goals:
Cool, I think i'll try what you're doing. The only difference is, I'm gonna start from space and dive into earth. Time to make a hole in this damn planet |

Wow I don't think I've ever tried to enhance the detail!! And I'm soo happy I inspired you Zenitharr. I truly wish the whole world could experience this at some point in their lives but not everyone truly appreciates dreams. And have you ever noticed that the skies in dreamscapes are hardly ever blue. My dreams set in daylight, the sky is lavendar, gold, yellow, or white. My dreamscapes set at twilight or nighttime, the skies are deep purple, bright blue, and emerald green. Breath taking. |
