Did I enter a state of lucidity?

      Salutations and season's greetings all!

A few weeks ago, I began reading about lucid dreaming and immediately became interested in it. The first few days after finding out about it, I was constantly performing reality checks and doing other techniques and methods to try and induce a lucid dream. Unfortunately, this never happened and I wasn't able to lucid dream due to me not remembering my dreams and generally not being lucid.

After establishing I couldn't lucid dream, I gave up and stopped trying and just slept as usual and stopped performing reality checks and so on. I believe last night I had a lucid dream. I was riding a motocross bike through a country line and I can clearly remember saying in my head "Wait a minute, I'm dreaming". After that, I came across a large warehouse in the middle of the country and wanted to see what I could do while lucid. I approached the warehouse, closed my eyes and said "I wish this warehouse was a mansion" and entered. To my amazement, I walked inside and the warehouse was a mansion. If any of you have every played GTA San Andreas, it was similar to Mad Dogg's mansion.

Although I do not remember the dream in a lot of detail, I briefly remember me trying to summon Megan Fox yet not being able to. I closed my eyes and imagined her in front of me although it didn't work and nothing happened. Funnily enough, I Googled "How to do things in a lucid dream" on a computer in the dream which was obviously useless as the search results were completely irrelevant. I also remember something about zombies in the dream, but I really can't go into detail as I simply don't remember what happened other than the aforementioned things.

My question to you is was I lucid dreaming? I was in control and I was aware of dreaming. I would also like to know how to remember more of my dream and how can I actually do things in my dream? I've read through the forums and found people who have had sexual intercourse in their dreams and been able to fly in their dreams which I would undoubtedly love to do, but how? How do you guys do these things so that I can do them in my next lucid dream? Any feedback would be much appreciated.

      Thanks in advance,
      Apoc.

Lucid dreaming is just the state of being aware while dreaming, so yes, you were lucid dreaming.
Your lucid dream sounds similar, in terms of how you realized you were dreaming, to some of my dreams. It's certainly a good step to be able to DILD, which is still my dominant method of lucid dream induction.

There are a few ways to work towards dream recall. One way I've found useful is to spend as long as I can in bed after waking up, and try to remember as much as I can, as well as write down some notes (point-form). This helps train your brain to remember your dreams, and I've found it's helped improve my dream recall.

As far as controlling your dreams goes, it just takes practice. I always just "will" things to happen, and they often do. In my experience, sometimes dreams just might not obey your commands. It shouldn't imply that you're doing anything wrong, but sometimes it just doesn't work. I've found sex to be one of the easiest things to get in a lucid dream, but flying to be rather hard. It really just takes repeated practice, and once you find one way of getting something done, it should work fairly often.

Much appreciated buddy. I suppose being able to take full control of my dreams and attaining powers whilst I'm lucid will just take time and practice. After all, this was my first ever lucid dream.

Well then congratulations are in order! Having a good degree of control over your dreams should come gradually with practice, but it's very fun to practice, and (at least for me) it always feels like a huge accomplishment.

Definitely. I'm really looking forward to taking full control of my dreams. Sorry to be such a nuisance, but I have one last question. Seeing as this lucid dream was random although it was amazing, am I a lot more likely to have another lucid dream after having my first one? It'd be great if I lucid dreamed every night from now on.

Not a nuisance at all; everybody loves to feel knowledgeable.
I wouldn't say that there's necessarily a correlation between the first lucid dream and any subsequent ones, but there's certainly one between intent and results. Especially now that you know a little what it might feel like, you're probably more likely to have one, and wanting it definitely helps. That being said, it sounds like your dream recall isn't that fantastic, so it's quite possible you'll have a lucid dream (or that you already have) and forget it! DILDs are great, but as far as I know, it's much easier to guarantee a lucid dream with other techniques like WILD or DEILDs.
