Thread: Galantamine Dangerous?

Hi. As some of you may know, I tried a combination of choline (200mg) and galantamine (4mg) with great success some weeks ago, and with almost none side efffects.

But then I did some research on this, and I found out that there isn't so much information about Galantamine and it's side effects. On top of that, some articles stressed that one had to be careful about buying pills at the internet etc.


Does anyone here have any experience with Galantamine and the Lucid Dreamer capsule bought on Dreamamins.com? Is it safe for me to take one capsule (4 mg galantamine and 200 mg choline) once every week?

There is always some risk buying on the internet. You usually don't know, if it's a reputable company, or just one guy buying in bulk and filling capsules in his garage. But there have been incidents of officially sold pharmaceuticals that caused harm to people - being tainted and such.

As far as I know (and my knowledge IS limited), Yuschak did research galantamine. And galantamine is researched by government also, since it's used as medicine for Alzhaimer's. It has been used for that in larger doses than we use it for LDing. And choline and piracetam are so called "smart drugs" taken to improve memory. GM sideffects can be diarrhea, dizziness, vomiting, decreased appetite and weight loss.

I know people ar buying from Dreamamins.com. I have bought Galantamind from Amazon myself.

GM stays in your system for 48 hrs. It should completely clear out, before you take another one. So once a week is good.

So you would say that taking galantamine once every week is not harmful?

I have read yuschaks book, I just wanted to know a little more about it before taking it regularly. I want to use it so that I can have at least one planned LD a week

I used to take GM, still have some in a fridge and just waiting for the right occasion. I'm not worried too much about taking it. But I'm not a doctor or pharmacist. As with any drug, take at your own risk. But my GM WILDs were the longest and the best, so...

I've told you more than once WDr, Galantamine is safe, way safer than alcohol any ways and I've taken that monthly since I was 16. Also if it's been used for Alzheimers for quite a while, I'm sure there would be more reports on side effects and like gab said, they're taking doses way higher, 16 - 32 mg per pill. Anyways don't make a habit out of taking it. Take it every once and a while.

Also, I've had the most dreams, the most stable and vivid ones too on G+C.

Firstly I've read of lots of people buying from dreamamins from all kinds of forumns so that seems good. As for galamantine the ld50 ranges from 100mg/kg to 1g/kg taken from various sources and even if it was significantly lower than this you would still be far far far from a lethal dose at 4g. Both choline and galamantine are both non-addictive at such low amounts (I believe choline is actually used to fight cocaine addiction) and it would require a more frequent use to become addicted.

I've taken Glantamine for roughly a year or so now and i've never had any problems or side effects. It's been a great tool i've learned to utilize for my LD's and has boosted my LD's from a couple a month to roughly 2 or more per week now. It's commonly used for treating Alzhaimer's like mentioned above and there is a good deal of research done on it, you need to look a little better and you will find more information about it.

Haha I'm not mad Don't worry. And yeah it's the Lucid Dreamer I've been taking.

That site is expensive, Yikes! I'm very interested in getting me some but that's pretty expensive. For what it promises I think it is worth the money as lucid dreamers but I can't order from Amazon OR Dreamamine because I don't have a credit card. Anyone know of another supplier I can order from? I live in the Netherlands.

As for on topic:

I think Galantamine is pretty safe. Atleast as safe (or more so) as the commonly distributed SSRI pills that are very oftenly used as anti-depressants. When Galantamine is given to Alzheimer patients they are advised to take 5 times as much over the course of a day than is neccesary to lucid dream with. I would consider tolerance when taking any supplement for that matter. Just don't overdo it. Always be careful with pills because it's so easy to overdose sometimes and you will feel like shit for weeks if that ever happens to you. Trust me.

Does anyone know what happened to Thomas Yuschek?

Last I tried to reach him, he went completely dark. Someone on here mentioned he got out of all the supplements and lucid dreaming, but that seems so weird.

I don't know, but I'm wondering about the same :/ suddenly he just disappeared...
