such lip service bs. she had a few good songs, that's it. i remember just last year everyone making fun of her, now that she basically kills herself people are suddenly respectful? it's just death, she gets no pass in my book. srs

I practically grew up listening to Whitney Houston. She has always been of my mother's top 2 or 3 artists of all time and my father was a DJ, so when I say I 'grew up' listening to her (and the other artists he played religiously), I mean jamming to her was a daily occurrence. I was a fan of hers before the Bodyguard, and my entire family has considered her a cultural icon, and have even remained fans of hers despite all of that bullshit she has gone through in her life.

I know one of the high points of you cynics is to typically piss in people's corn flakes as often as possible, but your kind just never tends to realize how often your attempts at self-validation by way of ridicule are just plain wrong. And to those of us who see through it, it makes you look even more pathetic than the "everyone" crowd that you are talking about.

A little specificity wouldn't hurt. As it's your usual schtick to dog the people in the threads you're replying to, assuming that you were addressing the people in this thread doesn't make me look ignorant nor arrogant. It makes me look logical, and that is your fault.

Thanks for the clearing up my misunderstanding, though.

My thoughts:

1. She was a supertalented singer.
2. Though I recognize her extreme talent, I see all of her songs as either annoyingly sappy or annoying bubble gum pop.
3. She was a NUT.... CASE...
4. It sucks that she died.


Edit: I think 4 comes after 3. 3 does not come after 3, at least not in this universe.
