Thread: Your favourite time of day and season

Mine's between 5-8pm, late summer (August/September time). That time in the evening when the sky's all orange-y and the air's not too hot. Especially if it's a tad cloudy.

What's yours?

My favorite season is Fall.
I like 2pm. I dunno why.
But I also like right at dusk...
and noon
Or on a September or October night at sundown...
or on a very long summer day at sundown again xD when its just cooling off, like you said

I doubt I can decide accurately. Sorry to be such a pretentious fuck, but what makes the seasons beautiful in the first place is the change and contrast inherent in them, just like life.

I do love summer evenings though, when the light is golden and the shadows long, yet there are still a few hours before sunset, and the clear air bristles with positive potential, yet also a sense of peace, contentment and openness. Mixed in with all this is the distant sound of outdoor music, the taste of Pimm's, and the smell of a bonfire.

A snowy and misty winter morning nice and silent, it gives such a feeling of unrealism.

Yeah I can't really decide on one either.

But I like:
Winter - Dark morning, gloomy day, where everything looks blue.
Autumn - Cold and possibly rainy, a light drizzle.
Summer - Not too hot, very light breeze and around sunset time.
Spring - Not too hot, but bright and happy all day.

So not really any specific time except for Summer.

I love afternoons and evenings in the fall/winter (November and December). I'm most energetic around that time of year and try to do a million things at once. I love the smell and the air just feels fresh and crisp. When it gets closer to Christmas time, people just seem to be cheery and friendly towards everyone else so that's pretty awesome.

I like lazy summer afternoons even more though. I don't have to worry about anything like school, I can sleep in, the weather's always great, and everyone's so laid back. It's also the best time of year to totally let go of your inhibitions and try something you normally wouldn't. I love going on walks during the summer, the trees and lawns are bright green and it doesn't get dark until 9-10ish in the evening so you can be out and about for as long as you wish.

There is something about experience of the sunrise that makes everything clear.

Between 10:30PM to 12:00AM. The rest of my family is usually asleep then, I just sit alone in the sitting room sometimes with the music channel in the background and with my laptop by my side. With the curtains closed and the glass in the doors to the lounge pitch black (due to the adjoining room being vacated and the lights off) it often feels like there is nothing in existence but the four walls and me. Nice way to the end the day.

This is making me smile It's always the small things in life.

When its warm out(summer. spring and fall to a point): Between 12am and 4am. especially on a cloudless night. I love looking at the stars.
When its cold out(winter. also spring and fall to an point): Noon. I dunno why, I just like noon in the winter, lol.

Late August early September, at dusk, when the light is first beginning to fade.

My favorite time of day is right around daybreak...I love sunrises. I also love those days when the moon is visible during the daytime. As for season, I'd say fall for now, but I'm not totally sure.

I live in a sleepy little town. Almost everything closes by midnight. My favorite time is midnight-6AM, when the world is asleep.
My favorite season used to be Fall but it is now Winter. I absolutely love the snow and in my old age, I'm becoming less tolerant of the heat.

I guess I'm a bit cliché... I've always liked summer nights. When they're light and warm. It can be so idyllic.

I like late summer the most. And fall...actually spring is probably the only season that I really don't like. My favorite time of day is the couple of hours before I go to sleep(If the time when I actually AM alseep doesn't count XP)

Everyone's different I guess

I don't care much for Spring because it's so rainy. While I love the rain, I hate the mud hole which is my front yard- which we have to walk through to get to the car- which gunks up everything for the season.

Autumn, when it's starting to cool down.
As for the time, I like the afternoon when the sun is setting and the light turns orange. I also like the smell of the air at night.

Springtime and early summer, just when it's not so hot that it's sticky/makes one sweaty, but warm enough to be able to wear a t-shirt or dress without a jacket. Not raining. The time would be anytime really, from 1 PMish to dawn. When it's as lovely at nightime as it is when the sun is out, but I prefer the nighttime.

Winter as well, same times, for different reasons. I prefer the morningtime to night in winter, though.

Summer nights, fire with friends. Nothing quite like it.
