I'm so tired of having such a small attention span. There is lots i wanna learn but because mine is so poor i get tired of reading and wanna sleep and i really don't know much even now because of my poor attention span. Probably from video games, watching TV while i was growing up, poor sitting habbits, etc. A lot of times i don't wanna learn anymore as i find it pointless, i'll just get bored. So i was wondering if anyone knows some ways i can increase my attention span? i can't even read a book....i'll read 1 page and forget what i just read, and after a few pages i get so tired and sometimes go for a nap. I also have terrible memory. |

I was being pretty serious with my advice but I guess it's cool if you think you know better so whatever. |

Yeah, Sindred's advice is also good. You should follow it. |

Oh. I see you do have ADHD. I thought Marvo was making a cruel joke on ADHD. Sorry. |

REALITY CHECK
I have not got it tested if i really have it but i've been to "special" classes in school since grade 6. After high school and a few months of college to upgrade i was at a "special" school for 2 years where they said i'm still much too slow for them aka i'm an ultra dumbass. Heard of Sylvans Learning Centre? yeah...there. I hate school and i hate homework, so i never did it. I hate being this dumb but whatever, i've gotten used to it now. I'm 27 in a few months and on top of that i have SA. Working on changing myself slowly, and i really really wanna get a better attention span so i can stay focused at things i do or i'll stay in this rut for the rest of my life. Time for a change, i say. |

Think of your attention span as a muscle. If you use it, it gets bigger and stronger. If you don't, it atrophies. So what this comes down to is, practice. Don't compare yourself to others; only compare to yourself. If you made progress, then that's great, no matter how far your final goal is. |
