      How should i proceed????

      Hey everyone,

i've been recording my dreams in a journal for the last couple weeks, i started out remembering 1 dream per night, but now im already up to 2-3 per night. I found by reading back through my journal that the majority of them have some childhood friends that i havent seen in years. also alot of the time i seem to be in my childhood house and town where i grew up.
I'm wondering how to proceed from here. When im dreaming and i see my childhood friends or my childhood house i dont think anything of it, i dont question it as a dream. I say mantras to myself over and over before i go to sleep "when i see childhood friends do a reality check, etc etc" but in my dream i never do it.

any suggestions on what i can do to get myself to perform reality checks in my dreams when i see these old friends???

You could try and reality check when you are at your current house. Like when you pull into the drive way or walk through the front door or into your living room. You will RC when you enter the living room of your childhood house.

Pay more attention while you walk through the house. Think of it as a dream. Scan the rooms you enter for oddities.

RC if you are around children in general too for the same sort of reasons.

They aren't the greatest and most obvious dream signs but I think it could work for you.

I just started doing RCs regularly yesterday. I drew question marks on the front and back of both hands with a sharpie, and every time I saw them I would do a reality check. As a result, I did about 20-30 RCs yesterday, which may seem like a lot, but it paid off with a Lucid Dream last night. Just a tip, because I know before that I had a hard time remembering to do RCs regularly.

^ That seems like a good tip, maybe i'll give that a shot. however if i dont have a question mark drawn on the back of my hand in my dream will i still perform a reality check?

For me personally the point of the question marks is just to remember to do reality checks, because I rarely ever did them before. Today being my third day with the question marks, I am beginning to do the reality checks without even having looked at the questions marks. Eventually I hope to not have to put them on my hands, and just regularly remember to do reality checks many times throughout the day, so in a dream it won't matter whether there is or is not a question mark on my hand, I'll be doing them out of habit just the same. That's my theory at least.
