      Em...Hiya!

      Hi there!

I'm Katya, just joined yesterday and not quite sure what to start out doing so I thought I might as well post this. Anyways, I've always been fairly big on dreaming. Dreams are something that I've always been fascinated with, and for the longest time I've kept a dream journal. I first heard of this site from two friends of mine that have been using it, and upon asking them more about it, I came to know that it had to do with LDing and its techniques. It was one of those very same friends, one or two years ago, that first introduced me to Lucid Dreaming. I didn't know much about it at first, but I started to use a technique of looking at the clock every hour and saying "I am dreaming". Eventually, one night in my sleep while I was having a dream that I was looking at a picture on Facebook, I found myself typing those words in a comment box, and then, using the DILD technique, I made myself click the exit button and exit out of Facebook.
So that was it. My one experience with LDing. Somehow, I guess, things got busy and I eventually forgot about it. But, I'd really like to try again and work on my techniques some more. And so, here I am, I guess!

      Welcome to the forums, Katya!

You've already started a dream journal which is great, so I suggest you read up on some of the reality checks to make sure you're dreaming or not. Also, if you're interested in using the DILD technique more, the tutorial can be found here. If you have any specific or general questions feel free to ask!

      Hiya! Welcome.

It's funny how instead of flying and saving the world our minds often just pretend to look at Facebook

Haha, yup....now that I think about it that is pretty weird. Hopefully my experiences with lucid dreaming will end up becoming a bit more interesting!

      Welcome to Dreamviews!

Yes, having a dream journal is great. Keep it up.

First thing I would recommend is to read the DILD and RCs tutorials found in the below link. We recommend DILD to start with, because it's so much easier, if someone had no experience yet. Please check them out and ask any questions. Happy dreams
