      Noobs ahoy!

Hello, as expected, I'm a new member. I was interested in lucid dreams for some time a couple years ago, but my interest faded because...well, I sucked at it, for the most part.

I had my first lucid dream when I was eight (didn't know about them back then, but being the smart-a I am, I'd concluded that since dreams came from the mind, I could control them), but it died as soon as I figured out I was dreaming. Had about three more since then.

...I doubt there's anything much you people care about me, so I'll leave it at that.

Welcome to DreamViews ! Be sure to check out the Dream Views Wiki. There is a lot of good information in there that can help get started. You may also want to take a peek in the DVA (Dream Views Academy). There are currently classes being held that explain the various techniques for obtaining lucidity. If you ever have any questions, don't hesitate to ask!

      Welcome to the forum, TheAuthor!

Basically what Yoshi said, check out the wiki section. That's where all the techniques and acronyms are that people will constantly refer to on this site. You can also search the forum and find threads made by users, which will probably answer most of your questions.

      Thanks for the welcomes!

Fortunately, I've been lurking for a good while, so I know a few abbreviations/techniques.

It's cool that you have had lucid dreams before, it should mean that it will be easier to get back into it
