Question Most likely a dumb question...

ok when i sleep i usually move around alot. is it destructive for my dreams if i move around?
also when i get in bed to get ready to sleep should i remain in one position? i like to lay on my side because my body gets uncomfortable.
Basically, does moving around while trying to sleep mess the brain up???

No because when you are dreaming your body is paralyzed.

I was always a dreamer, in childhood especially. People thought I was a little strange.-Charley pride

When you sleep you go into sleep paralyses. I'm guessing you only move around after each REM period when you wake up.

Nah, just sleep how you want because your body will go into SP Whatever's comfortable.

Oh I was like that too when i first started! But remember to take it calmly, because stress kills lucids!

Good luck You'll understand everything soon, I promise.

Thanks a lot for your help! Sorry to keep asking you questions but do you have any tips for me that involve relieving stress? I don't really have a lot but I make it a problem for myself sometimes...

Do not stress about it, just sleep like normal, move around if you want to, it wont affect your dreams in any way...

no not at all. Only if your trying to have a WILD. If you like to move around alot I would recommend you do the MILD technique because you go to sleep the same way as always.

Thank goodness! that's relief enough right there. Now I should be able to sleep no problem and try different techniques.

I will definitely try the MILD tech and see how that goes! I just looked it up and seems easy enough haha.
I was thinking of getting a totem like in inception...is that stupid?

Well if it helps you lucid dream (by placebo probably) then no it's not. It could be used as a reality check. Some people reality check by making things float, so you could try that

And I'm sure there was an Inception thread around here where someone used cardboard to make a wrist thingy and it worked pretty well for them
