-Are lucid dreams often Incredibly blurry? I read somewhere that I need to rub my hands and demand Lucidity, which I tried, to no avail.

*they should become clearer as you learn to focus and stabilize your perception during LDs

-Ive only had my journal for 2 weeks and ive only been doing RCs consistently for 3 days, was this a random LD or due to my effort?

*clearly appears to be due to your efforts, you set up the ideal circumstances by waking up for a short time, writing down a vivid dream, taking a bathroom break, etc ( it's also ideal to have rested for some time, for me 6 hrs is good ). since you became lucid from doing a RC, this is another clear indicator your efforts are the source of becoming lucid, the more you ingrain this the more likely you will be to practice it during dreaming

-Did this have anything to do with the fact I had already slept the night and that it was morning?

* our REM periods get longer as we near morning, and for me my dream recall is better towards morning. generally i wake up after 6 hrs or so, take a bathroom break, then lay back down for another hour or two with the intention of getting lucid ( or continuing a lucid if i've already started that night )

-Whenever you get excited do you wake up? If so how do I calm down?

* for me as i had more lucid dreams i would be mindful that if i became too excited, i would upset the dream and wake myself up, most lucid dreamers learn to moderate their emotions and excitement having this in mind
