      Remedy my terrible dream stabilization.

      Long-Term Goals:
      Increase LD frequency.

      _____________________________________________

      Current Technique:
Coming when I reach in lesson II...

      Dream Signs:
      None.

      Lucid/Dream Recall History:

      June 7th:
I recovered about 20 Frisbee Golf Discs from a lake much like the one I swam in yesterday. I was very defensive of the discs, and I became very mad when young girls were playing with them. I spent the rest of the dream frantically finding more discs in random places. Many of the discs said 'Eagle' on them, and I was very proud of those.

      June 8th:
I watched four kittens enter the highway. I considered trying to save them but decided it was too dangerous. The next car that drove by hit all four of them, multilating them all badly. The driver got out and buried the bodies. I felt at fault for their deaths. In a later dream, I was being chased by a large dog. It caught up to me and bit onto my leg. I grabbed it's mouth and opened it's mouth until the jaw separated from the skull and it died. I felt badly. Other dream fragments: I was offroading in a sedan. I crawled through a tunnel that lead into a motorhome. A wolf stalked me slowly but never reached me, and I held my hand in the shape of a gun to scare it.

      June 9th:
I was trying to get popcorn at my local arcade, and the owner was sleeping at his desk. Somehow I managed to accidently spill two containers of popcorn butter. I woke up the owner and told him I would pay him $10 for the accident. I began explaining that there was a sound chip in one of the containers that told me a joke after I accidently spilled it. While I was telling the story, he turned into my dad, and he was running from a group of 5 armed men in suits. I was running with him, and then he told me to shoot the men. I had my brother-in-law's 9mm in my hand. I overheard the 5 armed men say 'shoot only if he shoots us'. So, I popped out the magazine and ejected the round from the chamber. One of the men in suits shook my hand and they took away my father. One of the men said 'these are hard times and people will do anything'.

In a later dream, I dreamed my sibling was having a graduation party. Suddenly, without using a reality check, I realized I was dreaming. From that point on, every person I looked at would disappear. I felt the dream fading away fast. I stared at the grass and rubbed my hands together quickly. It didn't seem to help and soon I was awake. The lucidity seemed to trigger my waking process. It was very frustrating, but typical for my lucid experiences.
      LUCID

      June 10th:
I was hiking all through a campground trying to find firewood. I came upon a huge warehouse full of firewood and scrap wood of all sizes. There was an old man cutting wood with a chopsaw. I asked him how much for some wood from his warehouse. He said it was all free. I spent a long time looking for a box to put some in, but never found one.

Later, I was in a room with a big painting in it, I was listening to my mother and sister talking, when I suddenly realized I was dreaming (with no reality check again). I turned to the painting and decided to change what it looked like. I changed it from a bright scene on the plains to a dark scene with a moose on it. I actually tried to make it a buck with large antlers, but it turned into a moose. I turned to my family and soon after I made eye contact, my dream quickly faded and I awoke.
      LUCID

      June 11th:
I was driving a land rover on old logging roads trying to find my parent's house. My older sister was in the passenger seat. She was telling me she was thinking of buying a land rover because her husband wants three kids. I told her that a land rover is a bad choice. Then suddenly, we lost traction, slid off the gravel road, and began falling backwards down a deadly dropoff. I remained calm and pushed the gas pedal once with my hand. We rolled safely back onto the road. I turned around and headed back the way we came; because, the road was getting too small. I floored it as we raced back down the bumpy gravel road. The land rover went flying over a bump and straight into a wall. As it hit the wall, it turned into a small toy. I spent awhile trying to fix the toy.

      June 12th:
I was at a gas station about an hour from home, filling up the tires of my sister's car. In my dream, the car was very old and barely roadworthy. The front tires were mishapen, and they exploded when I added air. My dad removed the front tires and replaced them with spare tires. The spare tires didn't look much better than the origianls. I was very scared to ride along in this car, and I considered hitchhiking instead. Other dream fragments: There was a young girl with guns in a motorhome. There was a huge TV at walmart for $20; however, when I inspected it, a countdown began. After the countdown, there was a large explosion. I was suddenly in a submarine when I felt the explosion, and gravity was reversed.
      NON-LUCID

      June 13th:
Throughout my dream, I was asking people how to make meat icecream. I am a vegan, so I wouldn't eat it. In my dream, I was wondering why I wanted to make it; I knew I couldn't eat it. Another dream fragment: I was sitting on a few planks screwed into the wall about 10 feet off the ground, and I was collecting more planks to make my platform bigger.

Once my week-long dream log is complete, would you be able to analyze it for me and provide feedback/tips?

Absolutely yes. Congrats on the lucid by the way. I know the short ones can be frustrating, but we'll speak more after your week experiment.

Great work, looking forward to your progress!

I have a question about a dream I had this morning, I hoped I could ask it here since i'm in your class. It was my impression that you need to be asleep for 90 minutes to hit an REM cycle and have a dream. However, this morning I awoke at 7am, knowing I had to be awake at 8am, I decided to rest for a bit. I ended up sleeping and experiencing what felt like a few hours of dreaming. When I awoke, I knew I overslept my deadline. To my surprise it was only 7:27. This baffles me.

To give a little more information: I drank a large cup of dream herb tea last night and fell asleep around 2am. My dreams were intense and vivid, many involved dreaming of meditating and reaching intense vibrations / expansion. It felt as if my 2am to 7am sleep lasted weeks.

Sorry to triple post, but I noticed you haven't replied for quite some time. Is this my fault?

It has been over 2 years. Please let me know if I am still in your class, if so please analyze my dream log. I am unsure where to proceed from here but I would love to pick up where I left off.

Welcome back, fifthdawn! Yes, you can still participate in the class. I would suggest doing an intro type of post to summarize key items just like in the beginning of the workbooks.

Simply write down the usual items: your recall, your current technique, your short and long term dream goals, etc.
Only the ladder is real. The climb is all there is.
