I'm seeing information here that contradicts other research as well as my own experience with tickling the amygdalae. It did not appear as though one was meant for joy, and the other pain. It appeared as though both were capable of both sensations but either one could be clicked backward or forward, either into the reptilian, selfish complex or the frontal lobes in order to access higher intelligence.

It also appears contradictory to my understanding of the left and right brains, as the left brain is coordinated with the past/future, categorization, words and rational thought while the right brain deals with present moment and the gestalt.

Everything works out in the end, sometimes even badly.
