With Dreaming you need to start small and work hard grow your lucid dreaming lifestyle...
I'm not just a lucid dream, I'm a Somnonauts!!
“It’s... your conscience. We don’t talk a lot these days.”
have you experimented with different formats? online, offline, or like Lang said, alternative methods? personally, its taking a lot of false-starts until ii got into the rhythm of it. i jot the main keywords of my dreams everytime i wake, in my notesapp, & then i fully write-out the dream either once im ready to wake up, or later in the morning over breakfast. also, consistency is very important to making the habit! even if you cant remember any dreams, write that too! just so your brain knows you have to write Something there every day |

I think the fact that it has been so satisfying to hold onto more dreams per night is the real motivator, that and how it is going to help you LD in the future. It has been an epic battle against laziness for me, and a great learning experience. I am not even a full week into my journal, and I have gone from zero to often five remembered dreams per night! I got a light-up pen on amazon (with a red light so as not to wake me up too much) and whenever I wake I scrawl down as much as I can. Sometimes I think I didn't dream, but if I stay there in the same position it often materializes like an epiphany. If I convince myself I will remember it, I will likely lose it. In the morning I use those scrawlings to flesh them out into fuller descriptions. The lazy part of me sometimes wonders, "Well I barely remember anything of that dream, should I even bother writing that one down?" Do it!! I am shocked how much I can extract later on, parts of the dreams come flooding back out of thin air. I think this is all about discipline fueled by enthusiasm and excitement. I used to not like going to bed, but now I am excited to. |

I have found that the act of dream journaling during the night can have the added but very important benefit of initiating a WBTB period. This is a very good motivation for working through that initial difficulty of actually getting out of bed and waking up enough to journal. |
