Yes, it can. Mindful meditation helps focus the mind in the present moment, which is essential for awareness for lucid dreaming. It can also help with recall since you are paying attention. |

I've heard before that mindful meditation can help with LDing. My question is, can it help to make much of a difference? And if so, how does mindful meditation help with in LDing? |

Another "Yes, it is really that helpful." In meditation, you practice: |

I think it's my best way to get lucid, but I've been getting lucid since I was a kid (10 years almost?) and I don't know how it would work for others. But being aware of what is happening (especially in your mind) and not being lost in thought sounds like it's important to remain clear headed when you do get lucid. Because when you get lost in thought in a lucid dream, lose awareness and get carried away, you just forget that you're dreaming, you go along with the plot and you wake up thinking "oops, another lucid dream wasted". |

I would add that it may also help in an indirect and ordinary way, by improving your sleep quality. Good dreaming starts with good sleep. If your sleep quality is negatively affected by stress, troubling thoughts or emotions, restlessness, and such, then meditation could be a remedy. |

I am sure about illusion. I am not so sure about reality.
I found it to be helpful about 25% of the time, meaning I can have a LD from meditating about every 1 out of 4 times I do it. But I don't meditate specifically for LD'ing. I do it for the physical and mental health benefits and the blissful state that can be achieved. |

I don't even know where to begin to express my love for meditation. But I will say as many of my inspiring gurus of different areas of personal growth has said: |

There's some differences if I mediate lying down instead of sitting meditation? |
|
You can meditate in any position, as long as you are comfortable. However, lying down makes it easier to accidentally fall asleep. |
|
When I get into an altered state of consciousness while meditating and set my intention to have a LD it almost always happens |
