I think I may have had a Type 2 false awakening dream just now. The first of any type of false awakening dream I can remember. I also had my first lucid dream only 2 days ago. Woke up almost instantly but sure I was lucid. |

I'm familiar only with one type of False awakenings. They are a normal, non-lucid dream, in which you wake up and go about your business. Same way, as you do in your waking life. |

That sounds more like Wikipedia's definition of a Type 1 False Awakening. That is more common but I think what I had was the rarer Type 2 False Awakening. Still, the fact that I am actually having these completely new and never-before-had experiences when I actually started to practice techniques and learn more about these things is promising, because it means I must be doing SOMETHING right. |
