To your question - lucid dream may last any length of time, from seconds to a few minutes. They can be longer too, but rarely they get as long as 45 min. And sometime you can tell how long the dream was, sometime it may feel longer, or shorter than waking life. Good luck

they can get up to 1 hour or more if you have excellent recall or just great then again the longest dream ever was 188 minutes or something like that ever recorded and it also feels longer in a dream

Hi friend, if you're asking about perceived dream lenght opposed to real time passed then it surely can, it does often actually.

It really depends on a lot of factors, such as your level of lucidity, dream control, how random your subconscious is feeling and the nature of the dream itself. One guy claimed to have spent two years in a lucid dream with no ill effects and I see no reason to disbelieve him.

There has been plenty of people claiming that they have literally had a life-long lucid dream. Some say that they achieved this by changing the perception of time within the dream. Next LD I have, I'm going to test it out for sure.

If your able to change the way you perceive time in a dream, it is said that you can have a dream that feels like a lifetime or more.

Last night I had a lucid dream that spanned a time frame of over 60 years, though it skipped a lot of the interim moments.

This is fascinating. I definitely want to attempt to alter the perception of time in my dream to see how long I could make it feel.
Although... How does one accomplish this? Do I simply will the dream world to feel like it lasts longer than it actually does?

It's extremely rare to large extents, even the people who go through it aren't quite sure what it is about and how to replicate it. This and the increased limitless possibilities it offers make me fascinated with this phenomenon.
