      A good sign?

      Hey guys!

First of all, I've been pretty quiet lately, but I should be more active soon. I had finals week in college, had to move out, and then as soon as I got home started training for my summer job - so its been hectic! When it calms down all be on more...

      Just a quick question:

The past three nights I have become lucid at some point, with varying levels of clarity. Three nights ago I became lucid for three or four seconds, then let myself slip back into the dream. The night before last I did the same, though it was for probably 30 seconds. Then last night I was lucid three times. I appeared in a bedroom next to a teddy bear each time, and each time I was able to change the appearence of the bear slightly, but it caused me to lose stabilization and eventually be swept along with the dream.

      Here is the question:

Is it good that I am become lucid much more often, even if they are brief; or is it a bad sign that I can't hold the lucidity as clearly and as long as I did my first three times?

      Any comments help!

It's normal to have very short first lucids, So I guess you were doing very well having your first few long. We are all different so there are no rules, really.

It's great that you are getting lucid or close to being lucid so often. Sometimes we just wake up, because REM ended, or we were not asleep very deep, or got excited.

Sounds like you are doing great. Keep notice of how it feels when you are in the dream and near lucidity, so you learn to recognize that feel.

Hmm ya I figured as much! Thanks so much for the input!

I've gotten very good at All Day Awareness and recall. My dreams are insanely vivid, and I had a hugely profound dream the other night...

My dreaming skills seem to be falling in to place... So excited!

Indeed a good sign, getting lucid dreams often is pretty good, especially when you will improve their length.
Also once you are in dream, try reminding yourself about that periodically, like by doing occasional reality checks or repeating 'I am dreaming' for example, it can help with reducing the chance of losing lucidity.

Thanks Checker, I definitely need to do that. Whenever I'm lucid I always eventually slip back into the dream and get carried away because I forget to do that. Next time I definitely will!

No luck last night but I think it was because I was just physically exhausted. Today is my day off so tonight should be more successful!

      Cheers!
