Why am i always the part or hero or lead actor of my dream?

I was just wondering why is it that we are always having dreams in which we are playing a major role.do you have any dream which is not
      corelated to you,
"Like wathcing a movie where some other guy is hero or some crazy character and you are not a part of it and just an audience."

but it never happens actually in a dream and if one scrared in a dream it has real effect on his dream like he starts sweating, shaking while asleep, some can even walk in sleep(not a usual things but both of these thing has happened to me).its amazing how our mind makes things so real just by sending electrical signals between our body and brain even though they are not real.

      one more question?
Could it be possible that we could learn in our dream like do yoga, learn martial arts, run, practice maths just in a virtual world feeding our brain some knowledge with the power of the unconcious?

Your post reminded me of this.

I imagine it might be possible to learn some theoretical stuff, but there'll obviously be some muscle memory that you won't have compared to practicing stuff like martial arts and such when awake.

Hmm i agree with the previous reply.

Also, check out this vid! I guess since dreams are thoughts, they'd work the same if you were lucid and kept thinking about practicing your skills or something. What do you think?

Maybe it's a dream and if I scream, it will burst at the seams.

yeah, a lot of people say's that to me but I never had checked if that's realy true. I think it might be but we need to do this things that we are learning also in real life. Our brain need to remeber doing something and than will be able to recreated this situation in dream and stimulate proper neuron connection to creat a new one ( that's how we learn in a simple explanation I guesse)

Tonight I had one of many dreams where I am not always playing "me". Like, I was having a dream about my old elementary school, and two evil guys wanted some sort of bouncing ball, so I found a mate to throw it around with while doing all sorts of cool air tricks and stunts. And, suddenly, when we were being outnumbered and had no chance, a girl turned up, and as I threw the ball to her I was watching HER from a completely different perspective, sort of like what you would see in an action movie. I haven't tried it for the entire duration of a dream though.

I have had a number of dreams where i was just like watching video or something, but those are more often less awesome than dreams where i am actually doing things.
As for the second question it's probably very possible to practice some stuff in lucid dream and use it IWL, but as Danieru said more physical skills like martial arts will require practice IWL as well.
Though to think about it, practicing something both in lucid dream and IWL should definitely speed up the progress IWL, though i haven't tried anything like that personally.

      practice maths
I'm not sure whether you've actually tried math before in dreams, but here's my experience with that:

I'm in a lucid dream where I have no body, everything is black, and the only things that exist are a blackboard and a disembodied hand.

I controlled the hand and wrote something like this on the board:

      698
      *464
      ------

Hmm...okay....8*4=57. Carry the five and huh? Wait, that can't be right. I thought for a minute and SOMEHOW my subconscious proved to me that 8 groups of 4 are equal to 57. I went on to solve the problem and wrote others out of curiosity, with similar errors.

I think this normal, but I'm not quite sure. Go ahead and try math if you want, but don't be surprised if you calculate the exact speed of light as equal to pi.

There are times that you are leading a part and in the dream it sometimes does a 360 view and you are watching yourself and at times you play the parts and then goes back to viewing yourself. Sometimes dreams do this often and you don't realize it.
      It varies in dreams.

I'm not sure you can learn brand new things in a dream, but you can certainly practice and get better at something you already know from waking life.

I have read about a golf player that was perfecting his swing in LDs, about a surgeon who practiced surgeries during LDs. And some artists and scientists, that got inspired by dreams and who actually invented things in dreams - like the periodic table.

But first you have to know things from waking life, in order for your mind to help you figure things out.

Because the most important thing to you is you (and that generally holds true for 99.99% of people whether they pretend otherwise or not), and if something is going to happen to someone in your dream then it's going to happen to you, because no one else is worthy of having all the fun/being scared to death.
