I was just thinking about and I wonder |
|
This is definitely going to make my dream goals list. |
|
I don't think I have, but if I do meet my future self I really hope he doesn't punch me in the face. |
|
I met a fututre version of myself in the first lucid dream I ever had when I was about 14 years old. At that time I never had known anything about lucid dreams or what a lucid dream actually was. I had surprisingly good dream control and met a very much older version of myself, probably between like 60 and 70 years old, actually. It was an interesting experience because I spoke to the future self and were told many wisdoms, but I don't remember much of them anymore because I never had written any of the dream on paper... |
|
I am 20 years old right now. |
|
I haven’t met my future self yet but definitely wants to meet. |
|
I have seen myself in a lucid before, but I haven't even talked to myself. Sounds like it would be pretty odd. |
|
It must be what your own self imagines or wishes you will be like. |
|
Hmm this is an interesting idea... |

I realize that i'm dreaming.
I realize that i'm dreaming.
I realize that i'm dreaming.
<--- My Dream Journal Contains ONLY Lucid Dreams
Most people I meet in dreams including myself appear different, younger or older although I know their identity. The sense of past or future comes as an idea during the dream regardless of how I or the dream characters look like. In this context my future self may be younger and my past self may be older. It all depends on the feeling of past or future that may occur during the dream. Also I have a tendency to believe that the different me that appears in the dream is a hidden past self performing an action in the present dream. Confusing ? In other words, in dreams, past, present and future are very mixed. |

Haha Harel you were actually serious about this thread and yes it is a really good idea. I will might even try it once |

I've met a version of myself.. don't know if it was the future version but he seemed like he would be the future version of myself.. in fact he pops up only when I'm lucid.. I know it's him because his eyes are different than mine. He only spoke to me once.. The first time I saw him, he was lying on a couch, this was actually the first and only time he spoke.. I was awe struck because I'd never seen myself in a dream before.. I walked over to him and touched his hair and his face and then his eyes popped open and he grabbed my hand and grinned and said "why aren't you awake?" And I woke up.. All of the other times I've seen him he's been asleep lol except one time when I think I travelled to the past and he was with my mother and I asked her what year it was and she said 1999.. very weird.. |

Dreams are real while they last -- can we say more of life? ~Havelock Ellis
Dreams are illustrations... from the book your soul is writing about you. ~Marsha Norman
Dreams are more real than reality itself, they're closer to the self. ~ Gao Xingjian
Wow...that sounds almost like an alternate version of yourself or something along those lines, especially with the different eyes. |

I have done that in a non-lucid dream once. I just remember crying because of all the bad news I was telling myself. Then I remember trying to hide but I kept finding me. |

I was always a dreamer, in childhood especially. People thought I was a little strange.-Charley pride
