      Randomness in Dreams

      When you are dreaming, a lot of random things happen. In a lot of my dreams, I have found myself talking to cartoonish elephants or babysitting the VegiTales (don't ask). I want to know why we don't realize the randomness of our dreams until we wake up.

      Because it IS a dream after all. Since ANYTHING is possible, everything seems so normal.

      The reason why you don't realize it until you wake up is because you don't understand the dream world and how to manipulate it

      I thought it was because the logical part of your brain shuts down when you sleep (or so I've heard from other discussions here and there), which is also apparently why even in lucid dreams, we can't think that clearly sometimes.

      Yeah, one time I had a lucid dream and I realized I could do anything I wanted. In real life, I'm not allowed to look up cheatcodes becaues I get viruses everytime (long story) so I look up cheatcodes in my dream. And when I woke up, i couldn't remember them either.
