Thread: Hypnosis dream question for friend.

Here is the thing, I once knew a guy who fell asleep listening to a hypnosis file. So the question is; was he definitely under hypnosis when he had the dream that he was under hypnosis or was it just his subconscious reminding him what he did before he went to bed?

I'm not sure there's a way to prove whether or not he was definitely under hypnosis when he had the dream. Google defines hypnosis as "the induction of a state of consciousness in which a person apparently loses the power of voluntary action and is highly responsive to suggestion or direction." We could be in this state of consciousness during a dream without being hypnotized.

He also said that a dream character in his dream also looked in his eyes and told him that he was in fact, under hypnosis. *Shrugs* He also had the file on loop when he was asleep apparently.

Wonder if being under hypnosis alters your brain waves. If so, maybe you could look for those brain waves while someone fell asleep while being hypnotized. Would need EEG equipment, though, which most people don't have.

In the dream, hypnosis would become the symbol for hypnosis. That could mean being in that receptive state, where change or success could happen.

Wow, just watched a few minutes of that video. Felt like it was hypnotizing me!

I wondered what it was.
It seems just about being hypnotised rather than anything specific.

With me. I know that when I fall asleep listening to music, I will most likely dream about it. I didn't know if it's the same with him.
