I think this is a very beautiful and powerful dream. However, dreams, I believe, have a purpose, eg they can be healing, prophetic or educational (they point out ways we can improve ourselves). They can also be directional in helping steer us to the best path. Lions are a very powerful symbol, representing greatness and leadership (king of the beasts). The colour white represents faith, hope, purity, enlightenment, goodness etc, but on its own and in quantity (as it is here with the white lion and other white animals) it can also represent a person who is always striving for perfection and who is overly-critical of both her/himself and, as an extension, of others.
So, could the dream be telling you that you have the potential to be a spiritual leader but are being held back by your demands on yourself for perfection. Do you fear failure (i.e fear your pride may be damaged). In other words is the dream suggesting you could do with less pride (the lion is on its own - no pride), and more humility (it looks deep into your eyes (I feel like it is saying "Take Note!") and lays humbly at your feet). The other meaning of having things "at your feet" is that they are yours for the taking.
Do you feel drawn (or are you already) doing work to help raise awareness about non-human animals? Is the dream asking you to take your love and leadership-ability out into the world and help lead people to a better understanding of all nature (or just dogs if that is where you go) and better treatment of other species? If so, the dream is saying you have everything you need; it is waiting "at your feet". But you are also advised to remove yourself from any pride you may feel and try to be more humble. Sometimes people confuse "humility" with "humiliation", and are thus a little afraid of "humility" as it suggests "being humiliated", but they are not the same thing
