      Meditation question?

How Long did it take you to get to a point were you're not aware of your phyical body no more??

And how fast now can you not be aware of your body?

I'm asking this because I'm woundering if you could get to a point were it doesn't take long for you to not be aware of your phyical body within 5-10 minutes because that would really help me reaching the hynagogia state and be able to WILD quicker!

(i know you don't need hynagogia to achive a WILD i just like hynagogia)

Do you basically want to slip into sleep sooner, with less lying around? Because technically in meditation you actually DO want to be aware of your body...

I suppose if you want to let go of physical sensation of your body, there are relaxation exercises that are good for that. I start from my toes and go through every section of my body, feeling the physical sensation there and then completely relaxing as many muscles as possible and moving on to the next section.

I suppose going directly into a lucid dream from waking would be a sort of meditation, yeah, because you do focus your awareness. Someone else might answer the question better than I can, but often with hard-to-describe experiences like meditation and dreaming, it's all in your head anyway--do what feels right, believe 100% it will work, but don't beat yourself up if it turns out not the way you expected, and keep on trying and believing.

I will let others weigh in.

(This thread would actually probably fit better in the other part of the forum for discussing entering lucids, no?)

I've had it happen quickly sometimes. Sometimes it doesn't happen all! I think it amounts to practice and conditioning your body/mind to produce/expect a certain result.

I don't know if this is specifically a meditation question, or more to do with WILD. I will say that the beginning steps of yoga nidra--relaxing each individual muscle and body part--is very good for producing this effect. Lie still long enough after doing this and you will no longer feel your body.

      Try this meditation technique:

Imagine you are in a forest. All the trees are white and glowing. Don't concentrate on the sky or even the ground. Just iagine that the sceene is colourless besides the glowing white trees. As you walk through the forest you can touch the trees and feel the soft energy emitting from them. When you are ready you come to a doorway which has a few steps leading up to it. You walk up the steps and open the door. A bright, glowing white light bursts out from behind the door. You go inside and you are in an infinite expanse of brilliant white light in all directions. The light causes your body to disintegrate until all that is left of you is a ball of white light. Feel yourself as a ball of light radiating out. You are flowing light out as the light around you flows in. As you imagine this for a while you will realize that you are the same as the light around you. There is no seperation. You blend with the light and are one with it. You understand that you are one with the trees, with the earth with all life forms in the universe. They are light just as you are. You can then say to yourself "I am all. I am one. I AM."

This would be a good start for a beginner to meditation with your intention. The technique will also raise your vibration. You will feel very light, like you are floating for a while after you finish. If you have an questions you can ask me.
