Thread: Anybody get dreams that alter your memories?

One time i watched a new episode of a show. That night, i dreamed about watching the new episode. It was the same except at the end, where in the real world a character says "I don't care what", but in the dream he said "I don't give a damn what..."
The next day, i rewatched the episode and was suprised when the character did not say "I don't give a damn what..." because in my memory, that is exactly what happened. This happens frequently, where in my dreams i will relive the day before, with minor changes that alter the memories of what really happened. Is this a normal thing, and do any of you experience similar effects?

Occasionally, but I tend to reclaim my "correct" memories before the day is over.

This happens a lot to me. Once, when I was living in a different city for college, I decided to drop out. My parents drove there to help me get my stuff back home and my mum was SUPER angry at me. I went to bed that night and dreamt that she was mad at me, but then she turned to me and apologised, saying she was just stressed out from the trip. I woke up believing that had actually happened...

...it was awkward when I said "GOOD MORNING! " when I saw her the next day and she glared at me like she wanted to kill me.

Haha I hate that I always mistake things that happen in dreams for real life. It confuses the hell out of my fiance when I mention something and get that "Uhhhh that never happened, what are you on?" response.

Yeah, this happens to me sometimes. I'll remember someone saying something, and ask them about it, only for them to tell me that they had said no such thing. I figure I either made it up, or dreamed it.

I only just realised how often this actually happens. Oh dear.

Yes, happens to me very often. Sometimes i spend a hour or two figuring out which ones are real.

The reason is that i like to do most of my experiments in OBE's or in "close copy of my real world". It is getting even worse if i am getting some FA's in the morning, then i would wake up and will have no idea what is really real.

Its possable De Ja Voo dreams can have an effect like this that can manipulate your memories, too. Just saying.

I think I have fake memories of mounten climbing and stuff, due to my dreams.

Oh, and, tonight, I dreamt it snowed in my house...and it felt like something that could actually happon irl.....
