Thread: Broken toenail

Okay, somehow my big toenail cracked horizontal down the middle. It's bleeding quite a bit but there's no pain. I'm guessing I shouldn't try to pull it off. I was thinking of cutting it down to the point where the nailbed is starting to show and then wrapping a bandaid around it to let it heal naturally.

Any suggestions? (I can't go to a pharmacy right now because of the storm).

From my understanding that is the best course. Trim it as much as possible so the toenail doesn't catch on anything and tear worse, and just keep it clean like any wound. I wouldn't pull it off, that has a high chance of making it worse.
