Thread: True Blood Season 3

I'll be watching it. Apparently though our cable provider is doing something which will cause us to not have HBO before it starts, so we're gonna have to order it. But oh well.

I'll probably read the books again before the show starts.
True Blood > Twilight (of course. tis no brainer.)

As for the Twilight series, Twilight is like a children's story compared to True Blood. Twilight was made to basically infatuate teens. I want to see gore, blood, and the dark side of things, not some sparkley soft ass vampire. There's not even a comparison for which is better.

The ending of the third episode was hella-fucked up! I've never seen sex that brutal!

True Blood's one of of my favourite shows at the minute. God, please don't compare it to Twilight, like Kaos said, there is no comparison. Anybody else really love the music in the opening credits?

That last episode (ep4) was really good. I really enjoyed the part with La'fiat (dunno how to spell it) where that vamp (forgot his name) comes to the rescue.
Its kinda stupid how there are werewolves and shapeshifters. Like couldn't a shapeshifter turn into a werewolf? and the werewolfs just look like normal dogs

On a side note: it would be funny if someone made a youtube video of bill saying "sookie" over and over again, and perhaps throw in some of sookie saying "sookie" when she said it in that episode where she was imitating bill (that was funny how she said it lol)

The ending of episode 3 was ridiculous. I was disgusted and going "WHAT THE FUCK"? It was so twisted, but twisted for a reason. Bill mentions that it was him "killing his love for Sookie." Bill is forcing himself to be a brutal vamp (getting that girl in the limo with Llorena and the King so they could all suck the shit out of her). He FORCES himself to do it. Why? He still can work for the King and be the guy he was. It's like he's turning into a full-on heartless vampire fuck, just because. Is he trying to convince himself that all vamps must have no humanity whatsoever? It's just..ugh. He needs some sense beaten into him.

I think Eric's character is developing more and more (more than Bill's anyway, whose character has gone down the drain). The emotion is clear when Pam gets tortured. She's basically his child after all. :*( The instances with Sookie as well.

That Franklin guy is some character. I can't wait to see more of him, eve though he's an evil fuck.

The werewolves are disgusting, no other words lol. They are like a motorcycle gang, nasty, rude, no manners, violent. Like..dogs. The bit with the vamp King being their leader is very interesting and I can't wait for the plot to develop.

Lafayette is one of my favorite characters.

Wow, last episode was all kinds of awesome. Russell's turning out to be a hell of a character. Did anyone take anything away from that dream-sequence type scene of Sookie's? It seemed very symbolic of something but I wasn't able to figure out what it was. Maybe that light trick she pulls out of her sleeve every so often?

Yeah it was! And what I gathered from the symbolism was this: Sookie's definitely some kind of supernatural creature, one composed of "light." In her dream, she's surrounded by other creatures like her. (Such as the woman with the Brit accent) Now when the dream gets dark, that's when Bill comes and tries to get Sookie to drink his blood. It's symbolic of vampiric darkness I think, and the darkness is what gets her back to living. She wouldn't have made it out of her coma without Bill's blood. I don't know much about Sookie's supernaturalness besides the fact that she's a telepath and can use blue-ish light to hurt others. Obviously, she is something, and the Queen + Eric know this. I hated how they blocked out what that feeder said to Eric :C

Spoilers beyond season 3 (possibly) ahead: I like that they didn't leave out the scene where Bill almost kills Sookie. I've read the books (imo don't bother reading, only case in which books aren't as good/better). It's a crucial point in the books because that's when Sookie breaks it off with Bill permanently. If there's one character who faced a complete transformation it's Bill (books vs. show). Bill is definitely not as sweet and caring in the books. I don't know where Alan Ball is going to go with this though, since Eric has acted like an uncaring douche in the last few episodes. I don't know whether Sookie will end up with Alcide, though he seems to be the best guy overall. The only thing that irks me about Bill is the "sex" scene with Lorena. Why would he do that? he almost killed Sookie yeah, but he was a starved animal basically. No controlling instincts.

Anyway, I'm much more interested in finding out what Sookie actually is and what becomes of Russell. Hopefully he and Eric will get some action soon. If Eric does kill Russell, does that like, make him King? Or does that just mean the Queen rules.. Probably the latter.

And haha, I saw that, it was just...funny.

It took a while but finally official announcement is declared that show True Blood has been elected for a third season. Alan Ball is intended to shoot the first episode of Season 3 before Christmas. True Blood will be back with the third season in this year. I have already watched it's first and second season shows.
