      The Deadliest Warrior

I've been watching this show for about 20 minutes, and it's pretty awesome. It's kind of like that show that uses scientific data to pit two different kinds of animals together and see which would come out on top, but with this one, it uses different classes of warriors.

Right now, I'm watching "Gladiator vs. Apache" I think it's badass that they brought Chuck Lidell in to be the subject of the gladiator testing.

Here's some of the youtubeification of the episode that I'm watching. (Next Tuesday will be Spartan vs. Ninja )

Best show ever! Going to have to rewatch that right before bed to induce some dreams.

Love the trash talking and blood filled dummies.

That's tight! What channel is it on? I would probably guess Discovery.

It has a very good mix of science and action. In the simulation, why did the gladiatior let the apache go when he had him on the ground? Well, the apache definitely would have won if they had a long range encounter and in something in pretty close quarters, I would give it to the gladiator. Both are badass though.

I'm going to go watch some more on youtube!

That was definitely one thing that had me going "eeehhhhhh..." but hey, I don't expect it to be a completely infallible show, especially in the recreations. Still awesome, though.

And yeah, Cusp, the blood-filled dummies are my favorite part. Did you see the damage that trident did???

The Viking vs. Samurai episode came on right after that. That was pretty awesome, too. Loved the accuracy of the guy shooting the two yumi arrows right through the dummy's eyes.

Lol, it squirted him in the face. But I still prefer the tomahawk to the head.

Sonovabitch. I completely forgot it came on last night. (That's why I can never keep up with new shows. I keep forgetting when they come on. )

I disagree with the ruling of the Spartan over the ninja, especially with the conditions they had set up. The shield was definitely a major player, but with the black egg getting broken glass in the Spartan's eye, and the ninja's stealth in an open-world environment, I don't think the Spartan would have won like they depicted it. They even showed the ninja getting away in their re-enactment, having the element of surprise, and then just 'popping up' a few yards in front of the Spartan to try a blowgun attack, when any real ninja would have doubled back or waited for the Spartan to pass, before actually attacking. Overall, they did a weapon-to-weapon comparison, without actually taking into account skill, technique, or tactic (which is all that can really be expected).

      Still fun to watch, though.

Worst show ever. It proves nothing, and it's target audience is your average guy who gets off to mindless action and beer commercials.

      Just my opinion..

The results are completely worthless, but it is a nice examination of each group.

But seriously how did SWAT beat GSG9? GSG9 is trained better and has better weapons. And then they had a Spartan come out on top of a Ninja which doesn't even make sense since a Spartan is trained to fight in a unit and a Ninja is trained to assassinate people. That's like having rock beat scissors. Yeah duh rock beats scissors that's why we throw paper or bigger rocks at rock. The Japanese equivalent of a Spartan is a Samurai.
