I wonder if there's any iPad gamers out here
My reviews:
Townsmen... meh. Didn't care for it. No particular reason, it just didn't keep my interest. Same for Tiny Sheep.
Bug Village wouldn't even load.
I absolutely love Pocket Village. You control little Pocketeers. They build houses (very limited) and factories. From the factories you can create things to sell to expand and beautify your village. You can also unlock animals which, when fed, give you goods that can be used in the factories. It's a very cute, relaxed pace game. You need Pocketeers to operate the factories and some goods can take hours to create. I check the game a few times a day. It's not something I spend hours on at one time.
Fairy Tale City is a good game. It costs gems (real money) to complete some quests or buy some items but the game is pretty good about giving you gems for completing collections, quests and sharing level ups on FB or Twitter. It's a very glitchy game, however. It crashes regularly. My main gripe is that expansions are extremely limited for as much as they want you to build for quests... unless more becomes available when I complete the expansions already available (3 out of 4)
It's mostly a farming type game. You harvest crops which are then added to stores which give you money to expand and decorate your town.
Lost Islands is amazing. I love that game. You start out on one floating island which you grow crops for energy to send explorers on missions. Missions can last minutes to a day (I don't think there are any longer than 24 hours). You get coins by going on missions (which you're not actively involved with). There are sheep mobs, troll mobs and chomby mounds which your explorers can clear for gold and gems (gems being real money). You can clear items like rocks, bamboo, mud puddles which drop things sometimes. What I didn't realize when I first started the game is that you can buy toys IRL and add their codes to include them in the game. They're fairly expensive though ($15. for one figurine). You can spin for a random hero if you have enough coins (starts out at $25,000 and now I'm up to $100,000 per spin lol). You can also expand to other floating islands for coins (again, each island is more expensive than the last).
Smurf Village is the other game I absolutely love. It's nothing like the FB version. It takes smurfberries (real money) to buy a bunch of things, though. You can earn the berries by leveling up and completing some missions. You can also expand your village (for real money) and find another island to expand to... and I think you can also expand into outer space lol I've not gotten that far yet, though.
The best game of all, though, is Junk Jack x. I can spend hours on that game. JJx is like Minecraft, only 2-D and with a WHOLE lot more craftables. The surface world is very limited, but underground is incredibly expansive. What's best is that you can create new worlds and your inventory carries with you. You start out on Terra and then find portal pieces to go to Seth... find more portal pieces and go to Alba. Each area has a unique look and unique items.
Then there's Tom. Can't forget Tom. He's a virtual cat that owns his own home. You can decorate the walls, floors, furniture. You feed him, take him to the restroom, make sure he sleeps, you can pet him and he purrs. He also repeats whatever you say What I like most are the mini games: Memory, Connect, Bubble Shooter. There's also "Flappy Tom" (but I suck at that) and several others.
That's it...
