It used to be my favorite type of music although I've never gotten much into the actual bands. I still like it but haven't been in the mood the last few months, not as depressed as I used to be. In particular I liked Insomnium. Other bands were In Flames, Wolves in the Throne Room, some others I don't remember at the moment. |
|
I can agree with you about being in the right mind set. I forgot about Insomnium by the way. Another good band. |

I typed that in a rush and didn't mean 'actual bands', just that I haven't heard of most of the popular ones, just happened to catch onto a few and it was all I listened to for about a year. |

Just found a band called Persefone. They sound like they are melodic death... Pretty good I think. |
|
this is as close as i get to melodic death metal. this is depressive black metal, or ambient black metal.. whichever you prefer to call it... |

Midnight Odyssey is genius. |

I love Insomnium. Another great bands are Kalmah, Be'lakor, Eternal Tears of Sorrow, Dark Tranquility, Parasite Inc and the less known Darkest Hour. |
|
I like destruction and reality, and one invariably leads to the other.
'Dreams are real while they last. Can we say more of life?'
'We die to remember what we live to forget'
One for Sorrow was a pretty damn good album, I will attest to that. |
