What should I watch?

I'm sure you guys are full of suggestions, which is good cause I'm out of ideas!

What sweet TV shows or movies do you recommend be checked out?

Breaking Bad has my best recommendation.

Set and produced in Albuquerque, New Mexico, Breaking Bad is the story of Walter White (Bryan Cranston), a struggling high school chemistry teacher who is diagnosed with advanced lung cancer at the beginning of the series. He turns to a life of crime, producing and selling methamphetamine with a former student, Jesse Pinkman (Aaron Paul), with the aim of securing his family's financial future before he dies.

Breaking Bad has received critical acclaim in addition to numerous awards and nominations, including six Emmy Awards and Bryan Cranston winning the Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series three years in a row.

On the review aggregator website Metacritic, the first season scored 74/100, the second season scored 85/100, the third season scored 89/100 and the fourth season scored 96/100, receiving the status of "universal acclaim."

Breaking Bad, House or Prison Break.

Weeds is good too, but some of it gets a bit boring. But it definitely picks up and is still a great show.

Another show which is risky, coz only a smaller set of people will like it is Oz.

You might like Spooks also, I've only watched a few episodes, and it wasn't for me, but a lot of people absolutely love it.

I'll second House and third Braking Bad (best show EVAR) and raise you Two and a Half Men. An older show, but somehow I had never seen it until just recently.

Philly is awesome but Louie, really? I watched one episode and it wasn't even a comedy. It was just weird and kind of sad and I ended up feeling sorry for him. I tried watching wilfred once, too but got distracted. Ricky Gervais is funny but Frodo acts like a cream muffin.

Good suggestions so far though nothing new yet but keep at it!

Yeah Louie can be pretty hit or miss! And you're supposed to feel sorry for him - he's a total schlub. I see him as a contemporary Woody Allen sort of guy. Obviously not as good, but still...

This show is so awesome, I can't even figure out why.

Also Breaking Bad is THE SHIT. I was getting pissed off at Skyler but I realized she's just a cipher for the relationship problems the show is themed around. At first I was like "cut the wife out of this shit already" but as I realized the show is not actually about meth I discovered her conversations with Walt are where the fantasy of the show hits the reality of its theme. Still... what a bitch.

+1 for breaking bad. Fringe is another one I like. Dr who is also awesome if you like British TV shows.

Another vote for Breaking Bad (specially since it's still on air); The Wire is usually rated as one of the best TV shows in the last 20 years (read some reviews), and Arrested Development is a must watch comedy that was cancelled by Fox, and the fans have been complaining about it literally for years still, and it seems the people will be heard and there's a new season to be made and a movie, how many shows have you heard of that are brought back into life years after cancellation simply because of the praise it still gets years after it's over?

Family Guy? Futurama was cancelled twice.

Arrested Development is awesome though, especially Job.

I didn't know about Family Guy, I liked it at first but I felt it had dropped in quality with the release of new episodes.

It's spelled GOB btw, an acronym for George Oscar Bluth.
