Thread: Wacky dream emulator game

Yeah, this is an awesome game, but I'd hardly call it a 'dream emulator'. SUPPOSEDLY, it was based on some guys dream journal, which was then randomized and put into game form. Or something.

yeah pretty much. the most intriguing part of the game is that its made up of these ten minute adventures through random dream environments. kinda nightmarish at times though

HAHAHA so true! did this in a WBTB a couple nights ago and got so absorbed in the patterns in the music and everything. I love this game, even if it is incredibly creepy at times

This. For sure. I remember playing this for as long as I could in the dark at 2am when I was quite tired, oh my god. I took a bunch of screencaps-- did you know there's nudity they use for some of the textures in this game? @__@

Been playing this for an hour or so. Amazing. Really has a great atmosphere.

I keep just running into shit because I'm too scared to explore. Hahaha. The music is trippinng me outt too. woah

hahah the music is so bizarre, i like how the same 'patterns' are repeated with different voices. its the same with the textures and worlds in the game.

I am so addicted to this game and afraid to play it at the same time. XD It just strikes a chord with me and really creeps me out. I like being creeped out, though. : P

If you can, get a hold of the artbook, Lovely Sweet Dream. There are excerpts from the guy's actual dream journal. While I don't think this is a dream emulator, it's still a nice, obscure entry into my obscure japanese games collection. (I love living in Japan.) The artbook has each entry in Japanese and is translated into English, same page.

Trippy. Lol. Remake it with current-gen 3D graphics and i'll give it a play.

But yeah, I love everything about it, it's a bizarre little engine that's fun to just explore around. I'm almost at Day 99 on my savefile from my downstairs computer (where I used to play it at night o___o)

i know what you mean about being addicted and afraid at the same time haha, i feel like i have to make it to the 'end' of the game, whatever that may be, but it just gets more and more creepy!

haha i had this thought too after playing it for a while, it would be the most insane game. does anyone else think that it would be hugely successful? hahaha i'd buy whatever console i had to to play it.

I'm glad I could help! I haven't filled the in-game 'graph' yet. You'll unlock more and more FMVs as you play, though. Have fun and good luck!

Is there really nudity in the textures? This game has a D rating from the CERO (which is 17+).

i've seen some textures that looked almost explicit but i'm pretty certain that there isn't any proper nudity in the game.
but it is early days, still haven't completed the graph.

The game ends at day 365. There are clips of the ending on YT if you want to see them.

Huh, I only saw Lets Play videos of this game. Wacky shit, apparently there is no ending to it. Strange....
