RC-1 syllabus

This syllabus is under construction while my main computer is getting fixed.

CLASS DATES

All classes will be held in the #DVA channel of the IRC Class topics are also just going to be the main focus other questions are gladly accepted.

July 30th 9:00 PM GMT -7 {topic} building a reality checking habit.

July 31st 9:00 PM GMT -7 {topic} realty checking with a purpose.

DROPPING STUDENTS

Students who are inactive for 3 or more class posts will be dropped from the user group. If you have a reason not to be active send me a PM and give a brief explanation. I don't want to invade your personal life. Students who are dropped will not regain access this semester.

GRADING

Students will get a pass/fail grade

Reading this syllabus = 1 point.*
You can prove you read it by thanking this post. If you think I am just trying to be *a thanks whore then send me a PM with the title READ THE SYLLABUS. But honestly having you thank it makes easier to track.*

Read each lesson = 1 x 5*
PM or thanks

Do each homework assignment = 1 x 5

the final exam = 10 points*

extra credit = unknown

attending IRC classes = 1 x 5
attend all and get an extra point

total = 26 points + extra credit estimated 30 total

20 points = a pass

If you think this is to high of a point value to pass please tell me. This is my first class and I need improvement.


This section of the syllabus is quite important. Failure to read and understand this text can result in a removal from the DVA.

Expectations of professors:

Professors should always attend class barring emergencies or unexpected events. Not feeling like it doesn't count. If a teacher is planning on missing class students should be notified in advance. A substitute teacher may be appointed to lead the class.

Professors should be kind and patient with all students. Teachers should not mock students during class. Teachers cannot be considered on duty all the time. Any posts that break the official Dream Views rules should be reported.*

Professors should grade all students and alert them via PM of their grade.

Professors should make themselves available for questions from students.

Professors should record and post chat logs from any IRC chats. This includes office hours, unless requested by the student(s). In that case they will be stored in a private thread for staff only.

Expectations of students:

Students should always try to attend class.

Students should do their assignments.

Students should not mock other students during class.

Students should not post the #DVA password anytime other then when joining the chat.

Guide to joining the IRC chat:

1) log in on http://dreamviews.com/community/index.php
2) click on the CHAT button
3) log in again with your same username and password
4) you will connect to the channel #DV
5) in the text bar type or copy and past (without asterisks *) */join #DVA fortress*
6) re read what you typed to make sure it is correct and then hit enter or return

The DVA password: If you are caught intentionally giving away the #DVA IRC password you may be banned from the DVA.

These are mostly expectations we have of students. Doing your homework is not mandatory neither is attending class.
