      Hello! I'm Naiya.

I'm 24 and I'm a student. I first learned about lucid dreaming just over ten years ago. My mom was getting her MA in Psychology and happened to learn about it in one of her classes. She passed on to me a simple relaxation/meditation, basic autosuggestion, and the look-at-your-hands RC. I eventually learned to do a form of MILD on my won and I practiced it every night. By the time I was in high school I had lucid dreams at least once a week, and by the time I graduated I had several every night. Now that I've had stressful college and work, I'm down to only a couple of lucids a night. Using MILD, I can LD at will, but it always depends on how motivated I am.

I used to have SP frequently, and I eventually stumbled upon WILD. I learned to control it on my own, and now I WILD every once in a while.

For me dreaming is often about wish and fantasy fulfillment, but now that I have been doing it for a while, I am seeking more meaningful experiences.

When and how did you find out about lucid dreaming? Well I was talking to my friend on a thing like MSN and he said "Have you heard of lucid dreaming?" It intrigued me and he linked me to this site.

How familiar do you feel about the basics of sleep and dreams? I'm pretty familiar with it all.

Are there any techniques which you want to master yet? WILD. I want to get this technique down to an art so I can have Lucid Dreams at will.

What are your ultimate goals when it comes to dreaming?
Well I want to achieve WILD like I said before. I want to lucid dream for fun right now but in the future it could help me with other things. I would also like to be able to have at least a lucid dream every night in the long run and to remember 4 dreams a night.

Any other hobbies that hold your interest? Acting, rock climbing, tennis, karate, owls/animals, and I really like writing. Oh one other thing you should know about me is I am a vegetarian!

You can call me Shirani or Shir. I'm 15, I learned about lucid dreaming about 4 years ago, seeing some of Stephen Laberges research online. I had my first LD through autosuggestion about 3 days later, and then learned about MILD and WILD and RCs a week later. I did MILDs for 2 weeks or so every night, generally getting a lucid dream every night, only I had horrible recall through my life, so I mightve gotten more. Because of my recall, I sort of forgot about it after that time, and only rethought about it a week and a half ago. I started a DJ to bring up my recall, and I'm hoping to master WILDS. I am very familiar with the basics of sleep, science of sleep, "rules" of dreaming, etc etc. My real goal is to remember all my dreams as easily as real life, and get lucid at least once a night.
I don't necessarily have "hobbies" just fleeting interests. Only steady things are piano and drumming. Also, I don't have a job, I was going to apply to a couple, but I broke my leg about a month ago, and it'll be off in a week and a half... Haven't been able to drum either...

When and how did you find out about lucid dreaming?
A little over a year ago. I bought Dr. LaBerge's book and then forgot about it for a long time. Recently (a few weeks ago) I got interested again, finished the book and came on here.

How familiar do you feel about the basics of sleep and dreams?
Pretty familiar with sleep and dreaming. Especially after reading LaBerge's book.

Are there any techniques which you want to master yet?
Well, WILD would be awesome. But, for now just learning how to do it (in more detail than I already know) is my main focus.

What are your ultimate goals when it comes to dreaming?
Basically to use dream control for fun at first, but later maybe I could actually do something productive in my dreams..

Any other hobbies that hold your interest?
Oh lots. I play a few instruments. I also write a lot (mostly screenplays and short stories, attempting a novel for the second time in August).

How familiar do you feel about the basics of sleep and dreams? Eh..a little bit. I know somewhat about it, but not totally familiar.

Are there any techniques which you want to master yet? I just want to have one. But WILDing seems like a good way - MILD too.

What are your ultimate goals when it comes to dreaming? Just for fun, really. Do things that I can't do in everyday life.

Any other hobbies that hold your interest? I'm a musician - love drums and guitar, even make some mashups on the computer at home.

Hey everyone, my name is Kevin and i'm 21. I first learned about lucid dreaming from the movie Waking Life about a year ago and became intrigued, so i googled it and found this site. I tried pretty hard when i first started out to become lucid and was rewarded during my first month. After that i seemed to only become lucid once a month and couldn't break out of that pattern. Eventually i stopped becoming lucid at all and gave up for about a month. Then a few months ago I told a friend about lucid dreaming and that sparked my interest all over again. Now I'm redoubling my efforts in hopes to achieve my goal of at least one lucid every night. Unfortunately I still haven't gotten lucid. I like the whole idea of WILD so another goal is to master this skill. I'm pretty familiar with the basics, but it wouldn't hurt to go over them again to really cement them in your head.

How familiar do you feel about the basics of sleep and dreams? After reading several times about it, pretty familiar.

Are there any techniques which you want to master yet? WILD (pretty obvious?)

What are your ultimate goals when it comes to dreaming? Learn more about my inner self, have some cool adventures, and maybe shared dreams.

When and how did you find out about lucid dreaming?
O about a year ago, I had just recently seen the matrix trilogy and was looking up things like simulated reality, and stumbled upon dream control, which lead me here!

How familiar do you feel about the basics of sleep and dreams?
      Pretty good I'd say!

Are there any techniques which you want to master yet?
Well of course WILD, but all the techniques intrigue me. WILD seems the coolest tho!

What are your ultimate goals when it comes to dreaming?
I'm sure goals present themselves as time goes on, but right now to basically have fun! I've always been fascinated by my dreams and dreams in general, and ever since before discovering lucid dreaming I was working on my dream recall, because I didn't want to miss the major part of my life asleep! I though I should watch it like a TV show, but being able to control it! The possibilities are endless! My goal is to explore those endless possibilities!

Any other hobbies that hold your interest?
I love jazz! I listen to it, I play it, I cant get enough of it. I fence, I'm decent with a computer and thinking of perusing a computerized technical carrier.

      Old

Baby-sitting a bunch of whiny adults

When and how did you find out about lucid dreaming?
I'll answer this one seriously! I was about 12 or so when my oldest brother told me it was possible to realize you're dreaming, not wake up, and take control of the dream. I got lucid off a nightmare when I was about 13 years old. I stopped time in the dream and rewound it

How familiar do you feel about the basics of sleep and dreams?
      Enough to attempt teaching it

Are there any techniques which you want to master yet?
Yep. WILDs. That's why I'm here! I've become utterly fascinated with WILDs via the idea (rhyme) that one could jump the reincarnation cycle if they learned how to remain aware through death. Yes, I'm reading the Tibetan Book of the Dead, and it's fascinating!

What are your ultimate goals when it comes to dreaming?
A few personal ones involving shared dreaming with some family members, and testing an inception idea to find a wayward brother And some frivolous goals like world travel, planetary travel, developing my inner dream world and just experimenting with lucidity and finding out what crazy things I can make it do without black-holing my dreams again

Any other hobbies that hold your interest?
Musical instruments. I am self-taught in both guitar and piano and haven't touched either in years. So rather than focus on the computer games I used to play, I'm going to instead devote my time again to music

My name's Grayson. I'm 14. Towards the end of April I had been searching the internet for ways to get inspiration for music and I came across dreams as a source. This lead me to lucid dreaming, which fascinated me. I've had three half-lucid, piss-quality lucid dreams - the more vivid of the two happening at complete random with no effort put in by me and I'm striving to have a "real" one so vivid that I look around with full awareness and go "This is too real to be a dream". I don't think that MILD/other memory-related techniques are going to be as effective to me because I have ADHD and therefore my prospective memory even while awake is much less effective than a lot of people, not to mention my subconscious memory, therefore I think WILD is the way to go for me. I'd say my main goals for this are to be able to have them whenever I want to and to write music in them. I'm a musician and stuff, been playing piano since I was 5 and guitar since I was 12. That's what really lead me to this subject in the first place and so that remains my ultimate desire for it. I hope being involved in a class can get me focused enough on it to get better, if not concrete lucid dreams.

Are there any techniques which you want to master yet?
Well I wouldn't call myself master of any technique, but WILD gives me the most trouble.

Being able to have good quality lucids regularly.

There's a band, called Maudlin of the Well (they play Avan-Garde Metal, with Jazz influences, flutes, cello, percussion, piano, and other interesting things). They say They write their music in Lucid Dreams/AP, or something like that. So You might hear some tracks, as They sound like a pretty vivid dream.

I'm really sorry I missed the first week of lectures - between vacation, and getting ready for school to start again, it all pretty much slipped my mind. >_< I just finished reading through all three of the chatlogs, though, and there's some really interesting stuff that I'm sure is going to help me with my attempts to WILD. I'll also be starting my workbook in just a couple of minutes. So... about me:

Your preferred name? Dustin works, or Crimson if it's simpler.

      Your age? 16

      Your occupation (optional)? Student

When and how did you find out about lucid dreaming? I've done it a few times without any intention to, all through DILDs. A few years ago, I googled something like "knowing that you're dreaming" and found some websites about lucid dreaming, and what it was. About a year ago, I found dreamviews, and now I'm really trying to focus a lot more on being able to lucid dream when I want.

How familiar do you feel about the basics of sleep and dreams? Familiar enough, after reading through a couple of wikipedia articles as well as the lectures.

Are there any techniques which you want to master yet? Well... WILD. That's why I'm here!

What are your ultimate goals when it comes to dreaming? I would love to be able to remember a much larger portion of my dreams, and be able to control them at will - same thing most people here seem to want.

Any other hobbies that hold your interest? I play in an orchestra, which I really enjoy, and I love listening to and playing music of just about any genre. I'm also a little bit of a computer geek, not too bad though. Haha
