Dry spells happen, and as long as you want to recall dreams, the recall will return.
My suggestion: write in your dream journal even if you have "nothing to write", for example, write how many hours you slept (start and end time), how you felt upon waking up, if you have no recall write "I did not remember a single dream", but if upon waking up your mind started thinking about work or family etc write that down, also if you have a sense that you remember having a dream but do not remember what it was about write that, and also do you feel tired/well-rested/content/reluctant etc upon waking up. See, you can always have something to write in a dream journal.

And this will help your mind stay focused on your intention to recall dreams.
Also, do you have a dream journal next to your bed, and have you ever written in it in the middle of the night during a nighttime awakening? There have been times when my morning recall upon awakening for good was not good at all, but when I could recall some dreams in the middle of the night if I bothered to write them down before falling back to sleep (otherwise they got lost). Did you know that we all wake up several times in the middle of the night, but usually we just turn over and go back to sleep and forget about it by morning? If you focus your intention on whenever you wake up in the night, noticing it, and recalling dreams, and writing them down, often this intention is enough to make it happen.
Alternatively, maybe you need a break and more rest, more deep sleep. It may help to for a few nights just forget about any intentions to recall dreams, and just make sure to get plenty of rest, and then come back to the effort refreshed a few days later.
