Had really long lucid dream after finding new prolong technique.

Usually my lucid dreams fade really fast either the dream changes and i lose lucidity or i wake up. Its so annoying when you see dream fading and it feels like you cant do nothing but today i found really good technique that worked really well for me.
Everytime my lucid dream began to fade i grabbed something and began to shake my dream body. I usually lost my sight and faded in to the darkness but i kept the image of last scene in my mind and i started to shake my dream body while still grabbing something in dream land and i managed to stay in the lucid dream.
My lucid dream lasted about 40min which is really long i had to do this about every 5 min to stop me from waking up. My longest before this was 10 min and it always ended either false awakening or dream changing. I also asked dream character do i have to do this everytime when my dream starts fading and he said ``yes`` but dont know if that means anything.

      Technique:
When dream starts fading grab something and start shaking your dream body.

Hmm, an interesting technique; I'll give this a shot next LD!

      Also, to possibly answer this:

From what I've read and researched, DCs will normally react to questions the way you think they will react to the question/statement. If you expected him to say yes, then he will say yes.

Hope you have more extended LDs!

I do something similar, Seltiez. It follows the same principal, and yes, it definitely works.

The blindness can last a really long time, though.

What worked for me is something like a constant background RC. In my case, I do not breathe and I do not blink in my dreams. What is the point in breathing if there are no lungs, or blinking if there are no eyelids? You may have these things in your dreams but they are not physical and not needed.

In the real world I have to breathe and blink, in the dream world I don't. I focus on these things in the background naturally now because I have been doing it for so long whether I am awake or not, and when they are no longer needed I know that I am dreaming. When I am dreaming this grounds me and allows me to maintain lucidity. All of my dreams now are lucid to the point it is very difficult to give up my lucidity for long and would take some practice and effort to achieve such a thing.

This may seem a bit extreme, or hard to do to most people. And for me it was at first. But being self taught through trial and error, this is what worked well for me. Before this, being a natural LDer from an early age, the majority of my dreams were lucid but I still had non-lucids and I still had blackout periods where I would lose lucidity. Now I am always lucid.

^ Good point. You basically learned to live in the present, in the Now. I want to try that as well.

That's great! Very timely, as I just had 2 LDs that lost visuals right at the start (in both cases I became lucid at the start of the dream, new for me, my first 6 LDs were all lucid at the end of the dream). I'll certainly put this in my bag of tricks to try out!
